THINK MOOSE

Have you been by the lodge this past month? If you did you had to see that we have the tree out front decorated and a great Santa's sleigh with three Moose pulling it. Well THANK YOU Paul Baumeister for making us that sleigh. Paul has a lot of crafting skills to pull this off, looks GREAT! Paul, his son David and Mark Schneider all helped with the decoration of the tree as well. Good job guys!We have a lodge incentive program on-going for LOOM members when signing up new members; sign up one, get a moose pin. Two gets you $5 in moose bucks, three gets you 1 years free dues. Four get you a moose shirt, five gets $10 in moose bucks and 5 club status. Sixth one gets you a years free dues, seven you get a moose hat. Happy New Year Everybody. Another year has ended, another year of fond memories of Mooseriders events along with Moose events. You have to be so proud to belong to such a caring, fun and wonderful organization. How can you ever be bored when there is always something going on, whether it be with us Mooseriders, or the Men and Women of the Moose creating events. To be able to walk into the Moose's social quarters and see friendly faces and smiles makes one's heart fill with love and admiration that we belong to something bigger than ourselves.

On that note we would like to thank everyone at the Moose who helped us throughout the year, whether it was advice, information, chiming in and enjoying our events or just cheering us on. You all are so wonderful. Thank you Joe Matteucci for all your help, you have been absolutely perfect in your leadership role, we could not ask for better.

A big Thanks goes out to Marty for doing such spectacular work on these newsletters and for making sure that our Grammar and punctuation don't look like what we email him sometimes, lol

Lastly; thank you to our wonderful Mooserider members. Every one of you are important in making Mooseriders a success from paying your dues or coming to meetings to give ideas and opinions, to donating your time, to joining us in the fun and making every event a great time and bringing closeness to our group.

In writing this, I am unsure about our Jan meeting. We normally have an event in January where we go out to eat, have a short meeting then and pay our yearly dues. Therefore you can be kept up to date on our Facebook Kenosha Mooseriders page and for members I will send out an email to each of you.

Again thank you everyone!!

The Green Bay Packers did not live up to expectations in 2018. The 2019 season is just 8 months away. Plenty of time to right the ship. The Chicago Bears on the other hand are doing very well. Maybe this is their big year. Time will tell. There will be a Super Bowl party here at the lodge on February 3rd, kick off is at 5:25 pm in Atlanta. We will be having a chili cook off hosted by the Velodrome bike racing teams. More details to follow.Baseball spring training starts 2 weeks later. Joe Matteucci and friends hosted the game day parties. The Monday night pool season is finishing up the current session. Ron and Darla Kramer chair the league and will report the results next month.Josh Bower scored a break and run on December 17 in the Monday / Wednesday AM pool league. Andy Burger is the chairman.State pool this year is in Racine on January 12, 2019. Our club will have several teams entered and always room for more. Enter on-line or get an entry blank on our bulletin board in the front lobby.State bowling rolls in March. Get information on line or see next newsletter for the shinny on the bowling. Entry blanks in front lobby. After the holidays is a good time to give a little thought to Spring and Summer. Our lodge has lots of room for more horseshoes, BAGGO and golf. See AD Rich Smart or any board member or myself with your ideas. One thing we do not have is a evening golf league. If anyone is interested in being a chairperson let me know.Notes: I'm honored that I was chosen to be the Moose of the Year for Kenosha, thanks to you all.
