MISSIONS
My name is Marlene
I was born May 3, 1946 which makes me 61 years old. I am the youngest of 12 children have lived in Ohio all of my life. I became homeless in January of 2006 because of back taowed on my home in Bowling Green. I moved in with my niece in Lima for about 7 monand then moved to Elmore. I arrived in Toledo in November of 2006 and stayed at YMCA. It was there that I learned about the Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission. I remember wI arrived at Rebekahs Haven they were eating dinner. In April Nancy put me on as part of
transient volunteer program. It is like a family here. The girls all call me Ma. Ive made mfriends. Recently, I have been able to get an apartment of my own. It seems strange and lonat times but I keep in close contact with Nancy and the girls. God has blessed me anappreciate all the support I received from the mission staff. Thank you for supporting Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission. You are making life new and meaningful for a lot of peolike me.
