• In America, not every child receives the best and affordable education because there are rich communities which supply the best education for their students, while the poor communities abridge the learning of their students because they lack resources. Even if we don’t see school segregation anymore in United states today, we still see that poor communities lack opportunities for students.

Unites States economy has always been on the verge of instability because of the lack of education, therefore, America should increase funding to decrease education inequality because it creates financial issues, poverty, and unequal distribution of opportunities.

Why a global issue?

• Education is what keeps a financially country stable. It initiates international relationships with other countries. However, if we don’t have it only causes problems for the poor people, creating a system in which one country depends on the other country financially.

Why a social issue?

• Everyone has the right to receive a good education. However, it’s the government’s responsibility to assure that every students obtain an exceptional education.

• A recent case done by Ridgley Thomas shows that America’s state that is mostly affected is California.

• 82% of the students gradate from high school, but that percentage can later differentiate once they start college.

• 18% of the students fail to graduate, but it is still a percentage that can potentially hurt America.

Poverty• If more students attend college then the

unemployment rate would decrease.

• 14.3 percent rate of unemployment for less a high school.

• 4.3 percent rate of unemployment for college and beyond.

• A difference of 10 percent, which makes good change for the economy if everyone went to college.

• America is know for opportunities but they have been gradually decreasing for an individuals with less than a high school diploma and increasing for college graduates.

• Obtaining a bachelor’s degree can decrease the unemployment rate by 3.4 percent suggest the (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).

Solutions and Recommendations• Creating more early college

programs

The upper bound program is a programs created for students who want to receive a head start at college. The programs assures that students obtain rigorous courses that lead them to new pathways.

• Lower the cost of college

If college was more affordable more students would try to attend college and potentially graduate, creating a better economy for America.

• Increase school funding

The government should fund schools that really need help and are have low tendency of college graduates.

• Create more after school programs for elementary schools

Encouraging elementary kinds that education is valuable would increase college gradates because they would grow up with the message that college is important.
