2015 will provide the foundation for significant improvements to help improve traffic circulation within

the City of Corona.

Construction of road improvements along with several water & sewer improvements will be noticeable

throughout the City.

City of Corona Strategic Plan

Goal 5: Improve Circulation and Reduce Traffic

SR-91 Corridor Improvement Project

Add one General Purpose Lane and extend two Tolled Express Lanes in each direction

SR-91 Corridor Improvement Project will construct or improve 32 bridges along the corridor

This work will be performed throughout 2015 and 2016 with road closures, night work and partial road closures. Not all construction work you see is being performed by the SR-91 Contractor though.

o Utility relocations on Main Street, Grand Blvd & Joy Streeto Realignment of Harrison Street and construct Hope Streeto Construct Line 52 Storm Drain down Joy Streeto Lower Main Street and Grand Boulevard

o Replace 12” Waterline in Smith Avenue, Resurface later in 2015o Relocate utilities in Pomona Road & Buena Vista Avenueo Lower Buena Vista Avenue

o Construction of the Auto Center Grade Separation Project will continue through 2015o Utility relocation work will proceed the work to lower Serfas Club Drive and realign

Frontage Road

o Green River Road Widen Project will be under construction Spring & Summer 2015• Will widen the road from 4 lanes to 6 lanes (3 in each direction)

o Foothill Parkway Westerly Extension will be constructed through 2015 and finish in early 2016

o Foothill Parkway Easterly Extension is anticipated for late 2015• Will widen the road from 2 lanes to 4 lanes• Private development will complete widening to I-15

o Cold-In-Place Recycling for Ontario Avenue during summer 2015• Will allow traffic to cross shortly after pavement pulverized• No trucks hauling material away from site and back

o County of Riverside closed Magnolia Avenue between Buchanan Street and Lincoln Street yesterday and anticipates it will be closed for nearly 1 year

o SAWPA rehabilitating Brine Line – January through July 2015 Reach 1 - Temescal Canyon Road from Tom Barnes Street to Leroy Road

o Construction of new 20” reclaimed water line

o The reclaimed water line will begin at the intersection of Bluff Street and River Road in Norco, then end at Stagecoach Park.

o Approximately 7,600 feet in length.

o Switch from potable water to reclaimed water irrigation for Stagecoach Park and right-of-ways along Corydon St.

o Replace failing sewer lines

o 2,800 feet of new 24-inch waterline along Railroad Street between Garfield St. and Cota St.

o 400 feet of new 12-inch waterline along Garfield Street between Railroad St. and the Well 24 Relocation site to the north

West End Wellfield Pipeline

Replacement of 4-inch and 6-inch potable water pipelines to serve portions of:

West Grand Boulevard

7th Street

8th Street

9th Street

10th Street

11th Street

Washburn

Stan Reynolds Parkway

Sheridan Street

Belle Avenue

SW Quadrant Pipelines

• 12,000 feet of 24-inch waterline to connect a future well to be located on Grant Street and Magnolia Avenue in the unincorporated area of Home Gardens to the City’s well collection system at Quarry Street and Rimpau Avenue.

Adjustments throughout 2015

o Traffic signals will be modified and adjusted to accommodate changes in traffic patterns

o Drivers will be diverted around road closures (some long-term, but most short-term)

o Allow more time to drive through construction zoneso Corona Cruiser will modify routes and timing to adjust

for construction zones and changes to roadwayso Dial-a-Ride passengers should consider extra time to

travel through construction zones

o Will ensure proper notifications are sent to adjacent property owners and advance warning signs prior to construction
