    he scheduled banks clear the che+ues dra!n upon one another through the clearing house. his

    is an arrangement by the central bank !here every day the representative of the member banks

    gather to clear the che+ues. he place !here they meet and settle their dues is called the clearing

    house. he clearing house sits for t!o times a !orking day. he members submit the claimable

    che+ues in the representative desks of the banks and vice versa. 5onse+uently the debit andcredit entries are given. At the end debit summation and the credit summation are calculated.

    the second function of banks t!o generic function 1deposit mobilization and credit creation. he

    ma)or   part of banks income is derived from credit and since the banks credit is customerEs fund,

     bank takes extreme caution in lending.

    -hen an advance is made in a lump sum repayable either in fixed monthly installments or inlump sum and no subse+uent debit is ordinarily allo!ed except by !ay of interest and incidental
