There were lots of factors that

attracted/addressed my audience. First of all

the title indicates that the genre is Indie and

that will attract a certain niche group. Also

the image on the front shows a guitar which

is used in this genre all the time so it again

just addresses the reader towards what

genre it is. The names of the bands on the

front cover and the contents have a large

fan base so that increases the amount of

people that will be interested in the

magazine if they are featured inside. Also I

put on things that make the magazine

sound exclusive and special such as free

poster pull-outs, the used of the word

exclusive etc… they all entice the reader

because they it makes them feel like they

are getting something special. Also the

language that I have used complies with the

genre of the magazine because they use

this style which is mainly formal but uses

quite a bit of slang as well.

I have used a lot of technology in the

process of constructing my project. First

of all my research was done on the

internet and the blog I used was made on

blogger. It was useful because I could

write documents and place them on the

blog and use scribd to put some

documents on, I could put power points

on via slide share and place images on as

well. For the practical task I used InDesign

to design the magazine and I used

Photoshop to edit images by cropping

them, changing the lighting etc… Also

when I printed out my questionnaire I

used a printer. Another technology that I

used was a camera, which used to take

the photos for my front cover and then

imported it to the computer and then

edited them on Photoshop, placed them

on the magazine by using InDesign and

then placed the magazine on the blog.
