NEW TURF AT VETERANS PARK - Carolina Green Corp. served as the general contractor to install FieldTurf’s newest DoublePlay Natural Baseball System at Veterans Memorial Park prior to this season. - This system was developed using a scientific approach to analyze ball-surface interaction never before used in the industry. - Carolina Green has also been involved in various other projects with JMU Athletics, including the 2019 replacement of the Zane Showker Field surface at Bridgeforth Stadium, field hockey’s Desso Sportillux MF Turf system, the softball Desso iDNA X outfield turf and bullpen areas, and the Hilltopper infield system.

CAA PRESEASON POLL RESULTS- According to the 2020 CAA preseason coaches poll, the Dukes are projected a 6th place finish. UNCW took first with seven first place votes, followed by Northeastern with two. - The Dukes had three players seleced for the 2020 preseason All-CAA team, as well as two honorable mentions. DUKES SPORT NEW THREADS - This year the Dukes will unveil a series of Nike jerseys for home and away games. - In addition to the purple, gold, black, and white colorway, the Dukes have added grey and white pinstripes.

50 YEARS FOR THE DUKES- The 2020 season will be a very special one for the JMU Dukes as it marks the 50th season of the baseball program. - Over the past 50 years of JMU baseball the Dukes have accumulated 1,436 victories, 7 regular season conference titles and placed over a hundred athletes in the pros.- 2020 will also mark the 44th season in Division I for JMU. The Dukes joined the Division I ranks before the beginning of the 1977 season. JMU finished it’s first year 32-9 and would advance to the CWS just six years later.
