Instructions:There are two different sizes of each design to allow for those who only have smaller hoops. The smaller size is also perfect for those of you who simply don’t want to sew on elastic and you’d rather attach the cover with a canning ring. The larger sized designs are specifically sized to allow for take-up on the elastic, but also will work for wide-mmouth jars when you attach with a canning ring.

Follow embroidery sequence. Trim any jump threads. Trim fabric all the way around the scalloped edges, being careful not to cut into the embroidered edge. Decorate your jam jar with your embroidered fabric cover using the method of attachment you prefer. You can sew elastic to the topper, tie on with ribbon or attach with canning ring.

These are also cute on store-bought gourmet jam if you need a quick gift and don’t make your own jam.
