SUMMARY

Highly motivated recent graduate, seeking a position to learn, cultivate, and grow skills while performing all

necessary tasks to benefit and progress the company.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE

ADJUSTABLE ACETABULAR REAMER DESIGN PROJECT Fayetteville, AR University of Arkansas Fall 2015-Summer 2016

Designed an adjustable acetabular reamer as a group of four, of which was intended to minimize the physical consequences associated with the degree of time taken to alter the diameter of current, non-adjustable acetabular reamers during hip replacement surgery.

• Researched and studied the design and costs of current, non-adjustable acetabular reamers • Assigned tasks, task responsibilities, and task schedules via Gantt chart • Established user needs and translated each user need to at least one engineering requirement via requirements

matrix • Designed an adjustable acetabular reamer intended to meet the requirements via SolidWorks • Tested and measured the prototype’s specifications in order to ensure that all requirements were met • Practiced the proper following of Design Control (FDA 21 CFR 820.30) throughout the project

RESEARCH ON VOLTAGE-GATED LYSENIN CHANNELS Fayetteville, AR University of Arkansas Institute for Nanoscience and Engineering November 2014-January 2015 January 2016-May 2016

Assisted Dr. Radwan Al Faouri’s research involving the development of artificial bilayer membranes and the evaluation of their properties in order to determine potential applications such as their use as biosensors.

• Fabricated artificial bilayer membranes with lysenin self-attached to the sphingomyelin of the membranes • Applied various currents to the lysenin-attached membranes using an Axopatch 200B amplifier, Digidata® 1550

digitizer, and pCLAMP 10 software • Measured changes in current in order to determine ion channel properties such as hysteresis • Measured other lysenin properties such as photoactivity
