While she was earning her degree in investment fi-nance, Jennifer Hendry began a part-time front deskjob at a prominent local homebuilding company.After graduation, when her employer offered her ajob in sales and sponsored her real estate license,Jennifer rose to the occasion. That was back in 2007,and along the way Jennifer has earned incisive expe-rience in the homebuilding and new constructionsector, as well as a pedigree in general real estatesales. A little over a year ago, she pushed herself tothe next level and partnered with fellow broker ChrisHone to create CrossView Realty. From the outsetof her new enterprise, Jennifer knew she wanted tobreak the mold and make an impact. In their first yearof operation, she and her business partner sold 90homes, generating volume in excess of $20 million.What’s more, she’s carved out a reputation for honest,friendly, and results-driven service that continues tomake a mark on the northeast Florida landscape.

While Jennifer primarily serves Duval County —one of the largest in the country — she also extends

her service to the areas of St. Johns County, NassauCounty, and Clay County. At CrossView Realty,she co-leads a team of six additional agents. An im-pressive 50% of her business is driven by repeatand referral clientele — a true testament to the levelof service she and her colleagues guarantee. “I liveby the Golden Rule. I always treat people how Iwould want to be treated, regardless of price pointor type of transaction,” she explains. “Whether you’rebuying a $100,000 home or a $5 million home, you’llget the same professional level of service. To date, Jennifer’s professional experience has runthe gamut, from new-build properties and secondhomes, to work with first-time homebuyers and in-vestors alike. In the past, she also served in a majorleadership capacity as a marketing executive. Herdiverse industry insight and professional backgroundaffords her an expert’s eye when it comes to buyingand selling property, no matter the customer. She

passes this value-add along to her customers, recog-nizing that the transactional process is difficult tonavigate without an ally in your corner. “I take pridein my work and stand behind my morals and val-ues,” she explains. “My parents and grandparentsowned their own businesses, and I apply those sameprinciples, and that old-school work ethic to what Ido.” Beyond her knowledge and diligence, Jennifernever loses sight of the people central to every saleor purchase. “To me, my customers aren’t a number,they’re people. When I work with somebody, I liketo learn about them, what their story is, what broughtthem here,” she says. “Listening and learning aboutsomeone helps you find that perfect home. It helpsyou transform an experience that can be overwhelm-ing and stressful as you guide customers towardwhat they really need.”

When it comes to prepping listings to sell, Jenniferincorporates her background in marketing to takea comprehensive yet customized approach. Profes-sional photography accompanies all listings, ensuring

each home puts its best foot forward. Oftentimes,this results in multiple offers above listing price andmoves homes off the market with speed. She alsoutilizes targeted social media marketing to sourceideal buyers. Regardless of the property, Jennifer tai-lors her marketing strategy to each respective home,adjusting her approach depending on the property’sneeds, features, and neighborhood. Whether she’sworking with sellers or buyers, Jennifer is consciousof her role as a financial steward and takes this re-sponsibility seriously. “I never forget that I’m workingwith a customer’s money,” she says. “For instance,even a $1,000 price reduction makes a huge impacton a customer’s bottom line. Whenever we’re nego-tiating or talking numbers, I’m always operatingfrom my customer’s perspective and consideringhow it affects their wallet. I try to get creative aboutwhere money can be saved and how to put moremoney in their pocket.”

is to host a backyard movie night. With an inflatablemovie screen and a fire pit, Jennifer invites lovedones and customers-turned-friends to bring a lawnchair over for an evening of s’mores and family fun.“Oftentimes, my customers become like family,” sherecounts. “Our relationship doesn’t end after a trans-action. I want them to know they can always call me,and they do — even those from some of my firstclosings still reach out to me as a resource. I hope tobe part of their lives forever.”

As for the future of CrossView Realty, Jennifer hasplans to grow her business into one of northeastFlorida’s largest and most successful real estate op-erations — a one-stop shop for residential sales,purchases, property management, as well as commer-cial projects. Along with her progressive ambitions,Jennifer recognizes and emphasizes the importanceof maintaining a boutique-level of attention to hercustomers. She also has plans to continue develop-ing her office’s growing talent roster. “I always saythat we’re only as good as the least productive per-son on our team, so I’m constantly working to makesure that we continue to cultivate the knowledgeand resources needed to be the most effective rep-resentatives of our customers and the firm,” shesays. With a decade-long career at her back and adetermined eye towards what’s to come, prosperityawaits for Jennifer Hendry, her customers, and theteam at CrossView Realty.
