WELCOME
50% of your session fee is due upon signing your contract. This 50% is a non-refundable retainer fee,
used to reserve your date and time. The remaining 50% is due at the time of your session. Your
session fee covers the time, talent, travel, work and creativity that goes into planning and carrying
out your custom portrait session, and creating your proofs. Payments can be made by check, made
out to “Ivy and Gold,” or by credit or debit card via Square. Credit and Debit card payments are the
easiest way to pay your retainer fee, and they can be done in person, or online. All product purchases
mumust be made at your viewing and ordering session, and payment for goods must be made at the
time of ordering.
MAKING A PAYMENT
The first step to creating your beautiful portraits is of course, booking your session! Sessions are gen-
erally booked weeks, or even months before it will take place. Dates are subject to availability and
weather. The time of your session will vary depending on the season, but usually take place about an
hour or two before sunset, or after sunrise, for soft and flattering light. In order to book your session, a
contract must be signed and 50% of your session fee must be paid. Your session date will be re-
served once those two things are finished. After those two things are done, we can have fun discuss-
ing all the details of your session!
BOOKING YOUR SESSION

WHAT
In the case of extreme weather being unsuitable for your portrait session, we will reschedule. This
can include anything from extreme cold, to strong winds, to heavy rain, to snow and ice. I will use my
professional judgment to discern when rescheduling due to weather is necessary. Please be aware
that dates for rescheduling are based on availability, so especially during very rainy seasons, it’s a
good idea to plan your initial session long before you need the photos to be done. This way you’ll
have ample time to get your session done in case we have to reschedule. If the client needs to re-
schedule for any reason other than weather, it must be communicated and confirmed in writing, at
lealeast seven days before the session. Client is allowed one reschedule not due to weather. After that,
session will be considered cancelled, and a new retainer fee must be paid to book a new date.
POLICY REGARDING RESCHEDULING
We will work together to choose a location that fits the type of session you’re booking, and the vision
that you have for it. I have shot at many different locations, and have plenty of beautiful ideas of
places to go, but if you have a specific or meaningful place in mind, let me know! As an experienced
professional, I know what kind of settings work well, and I’m more than happy to use my knowledge
and experience to influence the final location decision. It is usually possible to get a large variety of
shots in one location, but shooting at two nearby locations can be an option as well. Travel up to 30
miles, miles, round trip, from 97302 is included in your portrait session. After that, .50 per mile will be added
to the session fee.
LOCATIONS
The first time you see your photos will be at your viewing and ordering session, approximately one to
two weeks after your session. You will then purchase any products and images that you’d like, and
specific delivery arrangements will be made at that time.
DELIVERY OF PHOTOS
My editing style is film-like, bright, clean, and fresh. I color-correct images, and do light retouching,
(ie. fixing minor blemishes, softening skin, etc,) but ultimately my goal is to leave you looking like you,
and highlight your beauty naturally. I do not do any extreme retouching, because you are loved and
you are beautiful the way you are. My job as a photographer is to capture that, truly and honestly.
ABOUT THE EDITING PROCESS
Your outfits should be planned at least a few days before the session, so that you’re prepared and
not stressed on the day of. Give yourself ample time to get ready and freshen up before you need to
leave for your session, and then make sure you leave in plenty of time to arrive at the location on
time. If you’re responsible for getting other people ready for the session as well, give yourself even
more time! Take it easy and know that I will do all I can to create a relaxing, fun, and smooth experi-
ence for you and your loved ones. Feel free to relax and go with the flow! You’re going to do great.
DAY OF THE SESSION
Steer Clear of These Photo-Bombers During Your Session:
+Overly themed outfits that don’t match the setting
+Heavy, unnatural makeup
+Clothing with brand names or large text
+Shorts, skirts and dresses that are too short
+Super low-cut or see-through tops
+Excessive+Excessively bold & bright patterns or designs
+Sunburns
+Visible bra straps or underwear
+Stained, wrinkled, or lint/pet hair covered clothing
AVOID
TO
W HAT
Everyone struggles with acne from time to time. Get your face prepped for your shoot ahead of
time by making sure you cleanse regularly, eat well, and avoid too much stress. Most minor blemish-
es can and will be touched up, but it’s always importand to practice good skin care. Be sure to have
well groomed eyebrows a couple of days in advance, too!
Make sure you’re well hydrated and not hungry before your session. I want you to be as comfort-
able as possible to make for the best photos possible!

I believe in giving my clients a complete, high-end, portraiture experience. I want to help capture
beautiful memories, and also to work with my clients from start to finish, through the entire process
of choosing how and where to display them as well. As much as I love things about the digital age
we live in, all too often our precious memories live only in our hard drives, flash drives, and facebook
albums. I believe that my clients deserve to hold and see tangible versions of their memories. The
kind that can be flipped through with loved ones, seen daily on the living room wall, and found in an
atattic by great grand children, a hundred years from now. The kind of memories that you can feel, and
smell, and get nostalgic over. You and your loved ones deserve an experience like that.
For that reason, we will meet again about a week or two after your session so that you can view all of
your photos, and then purchase only the ones you LOVE. You will have professional assistance from
me, we can preview what print sizes will look like on specific walls of your home, and you can see
and hold samples of the real products I offer. Ideally, we will meet in your home so that we can look
at your display space together, but we can also meet in a coffee shop if that’s what you’d prefer!
There is no minimum purchase, no pressure, and no obligation. If you don’t absolutely love your
images, you’re not required to purchase anything! The only requirement is that your order must be
placed during this meplaced during this meeting, if you do decide to purchase your images. That’s it! I truly want my clients
to leave completely thrilled and in love with their images and their purchases. Those moments are
what make my heart beat as a photographer.
