Product Overview
IVR Service Builder is a very powerful tool for designing IVR applications.The graphical user environment eliminates the need of writing lines of codeto build a new IVR service, just drag and drop nodes to the editor'sworkspace, specify the node's parameters and with a final click generatethe service.
Every service created with the IVR Service Builder is composed of a set ofcommands. Each command implements an action (play a sample, ask for adigit, make an outgoing call, etc) and has its own set of parameters andlogic. It can invoke other commands, giving the builder the ability to createsequences of commands which reflect the logic of the service. Eachcommand is represented by an icon in the IVR Service Builder interface.
At service creation time, each command included in a service is compiledinto a voice-xml file (*.vxml), so after creation a service will be composed ofa set of suchfiles.
At service invocation time, the Application Server will parse the voice-xmlfiles generated by IVR Service builder, reading its parameters andexecuting the services in interaction.
IVR Service Creation Environment ships with a core of powerful built-incommands which enable interaction with IVR engine, HLRs, Comverse,reading/writing to the filesystem and more.
