Literary Magazine

• In our final bimester, we will be focusing on improving our reading and writing skills but with an emphasis on creative, rather than non-fiction, writing. We also will be strengthening our skills as peer editors and reviewers. Our class project will be to create an online literary magazine. Each student will be allowed to sign up for a role which best suits his or her strengths, interests and abilities, and as a group we will learn to collaborate and work together to produce a stellar final product we can all be proud of.

Homework for Next Week

• Each student is assigned a role in the making of the literary magazine.

• Over the weekend, I would like you to research your role (find out what real-life writers, editors, social media managers, cartoonists, curators, etc., do for their jobs). Come to class with a brief job description.

• Next, each student needs to be held accountable for accomplishing their part of the project. Create an outline of the tasks you are going to complete and a timeline for completing them. Be specific!
