It matters not how a man dies, but how he lives

Many people nowadays think very much about death, how they prefer to die or even where should they be buried. Most of them prefer to die in their beds having the family close. Some say that it is alright if they are going to be buried in a cemetery, others prefer to be incinerated in order to be kept close by the ones who loved them. But does anybody think that it matters not how a man dies, but how he lives?

First of all, there are people for whom the way of dieing it is not of great importance because it lasts so short a time. They know that what it really matters is the way a man had lived. And that is because, after a man dies, most people will remember how he had lived, if he had been a good or a bad man, if he had helped others or if he did not care of others. Furthermore, on the way we live our lifes depends where we will spend our eternity. It does not matter if we die poor or rich, sick or healthy, young or old but it really is of great importance if we die in peace with God. The only way to have this assurance is to have known God, to have obeyed God and loved God all our life. If we had lived this way, then God will remember us after we die. This is all that matters.

On the other hand, there are people who consider that it matters most how you die. They say that it is a great difference if you die in your own bed, in peace, surrounded by all you love than if you die alone, in a home for elderly or maybe shot somewhere, or drowned. This kind of people are afraid of death. They think that if they die in their own homes it is much better. Also there are people who think that suicide is a great sin. They say that if you commit suicide, not only that the society blames your family because they had not done everything they could to keep you alive, but also you are condemned to hell. People say that no matter how bad you have been, you could still have a chance to change your life and eternity. But this way you lost all your chances to enter Haven. Therefore, it is so important the way a man dies.

In conclusion, it is important both, how a man lives but also how a man dies. But the most important is to live with God here; if you trust God in all things then it does not matter how you die (and you will never think of suicide).
