C L U B C U I S I N ESeptember is an exciting month for the kitchen. It is peak season for many summer vegetables before they disappear for the rest of the year, and all of our favorite fall vegetables start to come to market. Tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, chard, corn, grapes and beets will all be at their very best. It will also be a great time of year for figs, pears, brussels sprouts, mushrooms, kale, collards and cauliflower. Look for heartier soups, chowders, and braised dishes as the weather turns cooler and of course the last of our local bass and fluke before fishing dies down for the season. Oysters should be at some of their best quality through September as well. We have also updated our dessert menu so be sure to try something sweet this month. Along with updated lunch, bar and taco menus, there should be something new for everyone to try all month. We look forward to cooking for you ! - Chef David
