● Assembly of the ISS vehicle is now complete. The priority is now on fully utilizing this science asset. That requires safe and reliable transportation.
● Post Shuttle retirement, commercial cargo services becomes a key aspect of ISS upmass/return capability. Current ISS transportation strategy through 2015.
• ISS has procured crew rotation services from Roscosmos.
• ESA is providing Automated Transfer Vehicles (ATVs).
• JAXA is providing H-II Transfer Vehicles (HTVs).
• NASA provides the ISS Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) - SpaceX and Orbital.
● Two ISS CRS contracts in work:
● SpaceX - Twelve pressurized and unpressurized upmass and return missions.
● KSC Launch Site
● Orbital – Eight pressurized and disposal missions.
● Wallops/MARs Launch Site
● Reliable commercial cargo transportation will be critical for the continued support of the ISS through 2020.
● Scheduling and planning for these multiple vehicles is an additional challenge for the program.

Conclusion
● We are continuing to make progress towards operational missions. but still
have considerable work ahead.
● Finalizing integrated products and activities with NASA and International
Partners
● Successful demonstration is critical for CRS missions.
● Stability of launch windows is key.
● Important to begin flying in CY 2012.
● This cargo capability is important to the ongoing sustainment of the ISS
vehicle.
