Both the 1 st XI and the 1 st XV need to defeat St Laurence’s to win their respective AIC premierships. Iona and St Laurence’s are both endeavouring to win the AIC football aggregate in a tight final round encounter across all grades. Iona rugby needs team effort to remain top 2 in their AIC aggregate; numerous teams sit in premiership contention and all will be endeavouring to successfully end the winter season. It is a wonderful finale and all are urged to be willing, supportive and respectful. It is also an opportunity to thank coaches and managers for their guidance, generosity of time and friendship. A simple thank you to all our canteen helpers is also fitting. The round against St Patrick’s saw some tight games in the older age divisions. Our younger teams displayed skill and speed as well as good sportsmanship. A reminder that: Teams playing at Iona will have their photos this Saturday. iSPORT 1958 – 2018: Standards

This weekend is about college and team performance, when

individual effort needs to be combined so that we achieve

together. Both the 1st XI and the 1st XV need to defeat St

Laurence’s to win their respective AIC premierships. Iona and St

Laurence’s are both endeavouring to win the AIC football

aggregate in a tight final round encounter across all grades. Iona

rugby needs team effort to remain top 2 in their AIC aggregate;

numerous teams sit in premiership contention and all will be

endeavouring to successfully end the winter season. It is a

wonderful finale and all are urged to be willing, supportive and

respectful. It is also an opportunity to thank coaches and

We require a parent to supervise the basketball canteen for the 4

weeks that the Years 7 – 9 basketball teams play at Iona. Dates

required are 28 July, 4 August, 1 and 8 September.

Hours are from 7.00am to approx. 1.00pm.

Pre-season Sprints Training

Any students from Years 5 - 12 who wish to attend pre-season

sprints training for the 2018 AIC athletics season are invited to

attend “voluntary” sessions.

Day: Mondays

Time: 3.20pm – 4.30pm
