portion of these -ooks has -een lost& and (hat remains has -een corrupted or altered5#onetheless& they still contain many true and accurate statements regarding the true faith5

Doomsday& (hile the Old Testament contains practically no passages concerning that Afterlife

a fundamental article of faith5 For that reason& some Je(ish sects -elie+e that there is no

'ereafter at all5 Those fe( references to the 'ereafter in the Old Testament can only -e

understood (hen considered together (ith the +erses of the 4ur)an5

Therefore& one of the main indications that the Old Testament has not -een preser+ed in

its complete and original form is the remo+al of -elief in the 'ereafter and its replacement (ith

heretical passages to the effect the (orld (ill continue fore+er& -ut that life ends (ith death5

Those (ho make such additions& (ho alter those passages that are inconsistent (ith theiro(n (orldly am-itions& are decei+ers de+oid of true -elief5 These distorted sections are most

The reason wh, he is *alled the Mahdi is that he will head for one of the mountains in

)ham. %rom there he will produce the !true" books of the Old Testament& and will produce

The hadiths re+eal that the -lessed 1ahdi (ill :head directly to(ards a mountain among

the mountains of ham5; In passages in the hadiths referring to the End Times& the (ord is used

to mean :a fara(ay place& far from 1ecca and 1edina5; In the light of that& this means that the

Old Testament (ill -e produced from a location far a(ay from the holy cities5

Considering the literal meanings of the statements that occur from time to time in the

hadiths& it appears that the Old Testament (ill -e sought after in ca+es5 'o(e+er& the :true Old

Testament; lies concealed (ithin the present%day Old Testament5 Of course one may also seek

the true +ersion of the Old Testament in ca+es& -ut the rele+ant references indicate that the most

secure location is (ithin the Old Testament itself5 The -lessed 1ahdi (ill extract the true Old

Testament& hidden and concealed from the eyes of men& from inside the corrupted +ersion of the
