IQS UndergraduateAcademic Excellence Scholarship

For newly enrolled students, this scholarship covers 30% or 50% of enrolment fees (up to a maximum amount equivalent to 30 credits) based solely on academic excellence. This scholarship will be granted to students with a GPA of 8.5 out of 10 in Secondary School.

IQS Undergraduate Scholarships from the Fundación Empresas IQS

Undergraduate Scholarships for Academic Excellence, cov-ering up to 50% of the enrolment fees, financed by the entities and companies that sponsor the Foundation: AC Marca, Carburos Metálicos, Ernesto Ventós, Fundació Banc Sabadell, Fundació Caixa d’Enginyers Industrials, Fundació Puig, Jori Armengol, Josep Ribé and LUCTA, S.A.

Large family:

For students from large families or single-parent families,a 5% tuition discount on the amount of the enrolment fee as long as applicants meet this condition. The renewal is automatic as long as the student’s large family card remains valid.

Second child enrolled at IQS:

For students with a sibling who is studying an Undergrad-uate or Master’s Programme at IQS, a 5% tuition discount is applied to the second child as long as the first child is studying at IQS. If twins are studying in the same academic year, this tuition discount is applicable to both.

IQS Family Assistance Grant

For students with financial need. Based mostly on the level of family income and satisfactory academic performance. Grants will be awarded which cover up to 75% of the en-rolment fees.

IQS Scholarship forInternational Students

For students residing outside of Spain, with financial need and highly satisfactory academic performance. Grants will be awarded which cover up to 40% of the enrolment fees.

Undergraduate Scholarships and Grants

The IQS Undergraduate Scholarship is valid throughout the programme as long as you maintain the conditions that enabled you to earn it.

IQS offers certain tuition discounts for students who meet the following requirements:

These discounts may not be combined with one another. They will only be valid for students who meet the special conditions stated above and who can accredit these condi-tions when finalising the enrolment. These discounts are not applicable for the Undergraduate Programme in Pharmacy.

A student can only hold one scholarship at a time.

Terms and Conditions to apply for Scholarships

1. The IQS Undergraduate Scholarships are awarded to students who enrol in the first course of the Undergraduate programmes taught at IQS. Students who wish to request a scholarship to study the Undergraduate Programme in Pharmacy Studies must consult the specific rules concerning this programme.

2. The Scholarship consists of financing the enrolment fees of all the years of the Undergraduate programme if the student applies for it in the first year.

3. To apply for an IQS Undergraduate Scholarship for Academic Excellence the applicant must submit the following doc-umentation as soon as possible and no later than 10 June at 12:00 p.m. (CET) in the General Secretariat of IQS (Vía Augusta, 390, 08017 Barcelona):

a. Printout corresponding to the scholarship application, duly completed. Applicants can find this printout in the General Secretariat of IQS or download it from the University’s website www.iqs.edu

b. Complete academic transcript of the grades obtained in the Secondary School degree or equivalent before 10 June at 12:00 p.m. (CET) by email at the General Secretariat of IQS [email protected]

4. To apply for an IQS Family Assistance Grant, apart from the documentation indicated in points (a) and (b) of the previous section, applicants must also submit the following documentation to the General Secretariat of IQS (Vía Augusta 390, 08017 Barcelona):

d. Letter of intent indicating the programme that the applicant wishes to study or is studying, addressed to the President of the Scholarship Commission, in which the applicant’s father, mother, or legal guardian duly expresses the reasons which justify the application for the grant, family situation, and personal circumstances, as well as all the additional information which is considered necessary to be submitted for consideration.

e. Complete and clearly legible photocopy of the personal income tax return corresponding to the last fiscal year which includes the bank or online filing code. In the event of an individual return, the student must submit a copy of the father’s and mother’s returns or the certificate that confirms they do not need to file income tax returns.

f. Photocopy of the last pay stub of both the father and mother or photocopy of the latest pay stub as a self-employed in-dividual. In the case of entrepreneurs or self-employed individuals, they must attach the annual transactions report (form 347) which accredits the outcome of their economic activities.

g. Foreign students must attach the equivalent documents which accredit the level of income for the entire family, residence outside of the Spanish state, their academic performance and a letter of intent.

5. The reference criteria to evaluate the IQS Family Assistance Grant are:

a. Having formalised the pre-registration for one of the IQS Undergraduate programmes.

b. Not exceeding €17,000 annually in the income tax return of the general taxable base per family member.

Students may retain an IQS Scholarship if they meet the minimum requirements:

In the case of the IQS Undergraduate Scholarship for Academic Excellence, the student must obtain a grade point average in the first exam period, weighted by the number of credits, equal to or greater than 8.0. If a student does not achieve this grade, the proportional part is awarded to the credits obtained with a grade equal to or greater than 8.0. It is not necessary to apply for the renewal.

To retain the IQS Family Assistance Grant, the applicant will have to request the renewal in the established periods: (I) not having lost enrolment in any of the subjects of the course; (II) not having failed in the second exam call more than 20% of the credits taken; and (III) have a family income level similar to the one when the grant was first awarded.

Students and their families can apply for a bank loan for the total or partial amount of the enrolment. They will have preferential conditions with several banking entities (Caixa-Bank, Caixa d’Enginyers, Banco Sabadell, and Banco Santander).
