Interactive Petrophysics 3.6 plug-in for Petrel 2010

Installation Notes

Prerequisites

The IP plug-in for Petrel 2010 v3.6 requires the following prerequisite:

• Petrel 2010

Installing

The Petrel 2010 application should be closed before installing the plug-in.

Previous versions of the plug-in should be uninstalled prior to installing the latest version of the plug-in, as follows:

• Open the "Add or Remove Programs" Control Panel applet

• If any of the following items exist then uninstall them:

- Interactive Petrophysics plug-in for Petrel 2010 v3.6.*

- Interactive Petrophysics plug-in for Petrel 2009 v3.6.*

- Interactive Petrophysics plug-in for Petrel 2010 v3.5.*

- Interactive Petrophysics plug-in for Petrel 2009 v3.5.*

- Interactive Petrophysics plug-in for Petrel 2009 v3.4.*

- Interactive Petrophysics API

- Petrel IP plugin

Uninstalling

The Petrel 2010 application should be closed before uninstalling the plug-in.

After uninstalling the IP plug-in for Petrel 2010 v3.6 some files may remain after uninstall and must be removed manually.

The following files should be removed only if *all* versions of the IP plug-in for Petrel v3.6 have been uninstalled (including those for other versions of Petrel):

• C:\Windows\Assembly\PGL.ExternalDB version 3.6.*

• C:\Windows\Assembly\PGL.GenericDB.Controls version 3.6.*

• C:\Windows\Assembly\PGL.IP.API version 3.6.*

• C:\Windows\Assembly\PGL.IP.Components version 3.6.*

• C:\Windows\Assembly\PGL.IP.Drawing version 3.6.*

• C:\Windows\Assembly\PGL.IP.Kernel version 3.6.*

• C:\Windows\Assembly\PGL.IP.MontageModel version 3.6.*

• C:\Windows\Assembly\PGL.Utils version 3.6.*

• C:\Windows\Assembly\PGL.Utils.IAuditing version 3.6.*
