investment report - northaven senior...

I N V E S T M E N T R E P O RT 2017 It is so peaceful and stress free
here that I lost weight without
the need to stress eat!
If there was no Northaven,
I would still be alone in
my apartment with no one
around and little to live on.
Here I can afford a coffee
and muffin now and then.
I could not have dreamed
of a better place.
I am thankful to all the people
who make Northaven possible.
—John
2017 REPORT
In the face of Seattle’s worsening housing crisis, your investment in
Northaven is creating and sustaining solutions. In the midst of sky-
rocketing rents, your generosity provides a refuge of safe, dignified
housing and compassionate, life enhancing services for 260 seniors.
Based on King County guidelines:
18.5% of our independent living residents are low income;
39.5% are very low income; and
38.5% are extremely low income.
You stand between them and homelessness.
Your generosity is shelter for the poor.
You provide community, access to health care, wellness and
exercise services, good nutrition and more to our seniors.
THANK YOU!We really do enjoy the
company of one another.
The people here are great!
If Northaven didn’t exist, my kids
would be worrying about me.
—Joe

Northaven means home: I have a
bed to sleep in…I think about the
people out there who don’t have
that. I’m so grateful I have it.
I really don’t know where I would
be if Northaven wasn’t here.

It’s kind, it’s soft, it’s tough,
it’s happy, it’s fruitful, it’s fun.
And if it did not exist,
I would be on the streets…
somewhat exaggerated,
but my first thought.
