The inspecting officer should remove the Aldis lamp and ensure the unit is clean and dry.

All wires and connections should be inspected for corrosion and damage to the insulation.

The unit should be plugged in to each bridge wing receptacle and unit tested for properoperation.

The unit should then be plugged into the battery (inside box) and tested to ensure the battery

has maintained it's charge.

The battery should be charged following the inspection.

what is wrong or everything checks out satisfactory. Don't preform this test unless you think there

Battery Tests: Remove the battery from AED. Check status of 9V battery should flash green aboutevery 5 secs, if not replace 9V. If problem is not solved then AED battery may need to be serviced.

Notes: Make sure that the DD Card/ Chip is in place (it is in the battery unit). The medical kit has

razors, gloves, cpr mask, everything you need to complete a successful AED ussage. Important note

the pads in the hospital are not the right Defib electrodes for this type of AED.

Red Light: The red light on the AED unit means something is wrong with the AED. Since the

AED self test daily it needs to be checked in monthly inpsections. The red light can range from the

pads not being plugged in or the battery needs to be replaced or the AED unit needs to be serviced.
