Who is NRI?
What are Composite Repairs?
• Praised for their high strength, light weight, low profile, and easy applications versus other typical repair methods
• Typically non-metallic fibers (fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, etc.) saturated with an adhesive matrix material (urethane, epoxy, vinyl ester, etc.)
• Composite – a combination of two or more materials differing in form or composition, retaining their individual identities, while acting in concert
• Composite repairs are used for a wide variety of industrial and marine applications
How are NRI Products Used?
• NRI’s composite repair systems are in use all over the world by a wide variety of industries and companies
• Typically NRI composites are used for the repair of corroded or mechanically damaged pipes, vessels, tanks, columns, beams, or ships by external wrapping or patching
Today NRI serves a broad spectrum of
global clients.
• ASME PCC-2 - 2011, Article 4.1, Nonmetallic Composite Repairs for High Risk Pipelines and Pipework
• ISO/TS 24817:2006, Petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries -- Composite repairs for pipework -- Qualification and design, installation, testing and inspection
• US Department of Transportation (DOT) -CFR Title 49 Parts 192 &195, The Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS) Pipe Repair Rule, “Generally corroded pipe need not be replaced if the pipe is repaired by a method that reliable engineering tests and analyses show can permanently restore the serviceability of the pipe”.
• CSA Z662-07, Section 10:10 – Permanent Repairs, “Repair sleeves may be used as permanent repairs…”
• API 570 addendum 4, Section 8.1.4 Repairs, Alterations and Rerating of Piping Systems, June 2006 “Updated to allow nonmetallic composite wraps for the repair of process piping”.
• ASME B31, Pipeline Transportation Systems and Pressure Vessels, “Mechanically applied composite material wrap may be used to reinforce the pipeline…”

Research & DevelopmentFor over 25 years, NRI has focused its strategic initiatives on the research, development, manufacturing and marketing of pipe repair and reinforcement solutions. Our Research and Development Team have a method of design that is rooted in our customer’s needs and industry requirements.
• Every batch can be tensile tested for quality with its own certified, validated strength tests to ensure quality with the shipment.
• In house engineering (verified by third party) enables NRI to give you the customer assurance that the material you are receiving is as strong as we say it is.
• ISO 9001 certified company ensures a quality and traceable product from start to finish.
