Bangladesh sits on the delta of the Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers and is often endangered by flooding and other natural disasters.

Participants will visit an urban slum and self-help groups in Dhaka, be acquainted with CEDAR partners' ministries on gender equality mobilisation.

For example, trainings and healthcare classes are provided in order to build women's capacity and increase their health knowledge.

Participants will also visit local schools and have an opportunity to dialogue with school teachers and pupils.

Also, we will visit southern Bangladesh to know more about how the locals are affected by natural disasters.

We will also be introduced to disaster risk reduction and response through meeting with farmers.
