INTRODUCING THE PRINCESS ANNE FAMILY YMCA

Hello! I am excited to introduce you to the Princess Anne Family YMCA. We are honored to join our community and look forward to sharing the unique experience of a Y membership with you. The Y is more than a gym; we’re a cause with a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving our community’s health and well-being, and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

Through programs like Y Achievers, state-licensed summer day camp and Teen Leaders, we help kids develop into adult com-munity leaders. Our top-notch health and wellness programs provide as much support as each member needs to meet his or her personal fitness goals. Our charitable mission allows us to bring our programs and services to everyone in the community regardless of their ability to pay.

The Princess Anne Family YMCA is a community partnership. In addition to all of the great programs the Y is known for, we are also entering into two exciting, unique relationships with Tide Swimming and Trinity Church.

Our 50-meter pool is the home for Tide Swimming, the premiere swim club in South Hampton Roads. It’s the first Olympic-sized pool in South Hampton Roads. Tide shares the Y’s core belief that children learn valuable life lessons through sports. They focus on individual and team development and we look forward to shar-ing their successes and watching them grow into an even larger presence in Virginia.

The mixed-use gymnasium will serve as Trinity Church’s sanctuary for Sunday services, bringing their passion for seeing a diverse group of people find a common story in Christ. Pastor Art Childs will be housed at our center, and we look forward to working with Trinity Church to strengthen Christian values in our community.

At the Y, we understand that expanding social circles and build-ing a sense of community is important for the happiness of people of all ages. Friendships are made here every day. People meet and find common interests, and that’s when the magic happens. Our buildings are designed with large lobbies that allow people to sit and talk. We want you to linger after class and have that second cup of coffee. We also want to socialize with you. Our team members share one commonality—we all love people and we want to get to know you and your family and help you live the healthiest, happiest life possible.
