FedEx sponsors the UEFA league!

FedEx, one of the largest logistics company in the world, has always been at the forefront when it comes to sponsorships, endorsements and official logistics partner of major events. In the world of motorsports, FedEx has sponsored Denny Hamlin’s No. 11 car at the 2012 Kobalt Tools 400. The company has been the title sponsor of Champ Car World Series from 1997 to 2002. FedEx has been the sponsor of the No. 11 NASCAR Sprint Cup Toyota owned by Joe Gibbs Racing, it has sponsored Formula One team McLaren, Ferrari, Benetton and Williams F1 in the past.

FedEx has sponsored Orange Bowl for more than two decades. It is also associated with NBA's Memphis Grizzlies and the University of Memphis men's basketball team. From the Heineken Cup in Rugby to being the title sponsor of the FedEx Cup, the courier major has always championed sports in particular. Now, FedEx is all geared up to be the main sponsor of UEFA Europa League. The 2015/2016 season of UEFA Europa League and the two subsequent seasons will be sponsored by one of the world’s largest logistics company.

FedEx has been the international courier of choice, especially when it comes to the European market. While FedEx does have a presence in Asian markets and is easily one of the largest players in Americas, the phenomenal outreach and dominance in the EU has no parallel. It is then befitting that FedEx would become the primary sponsor of a major European football championship. So along with its specialized parcel delivery service to Germany where its competitor has signed up a sponsorship deal with FC Bayern Munich, FedEx will hope to steal some limelight away from its rival during the broadcast of the UEFA Europa league.
