Conference Chair Message
Dr. Pillai Mahesh
“International Conference on Culture, Arts, Communication, Business and Social
Science (CACBS)” serves as platform that aims to help the scholarly community
across nations to explore the critical role of multidisciplinary innovations for
sustainability and growth of human societies. This conference provides
opportunity to the academicians, practitioners, scientists, and scholars from across
various disciplines to discuss avenues for interdisciplinary innovations and
identify effective ways to address the challenges faced by our societies globally.
The research ideas and studies that we received for this conference are very
promising, unique, and impactful. I believe these studies have the potential to
address key challenges in various sub-domains of social sciences and applied
sciences.
I am really thankful to our honorable scientific and review committee for spending
much of their time in reviewing the papers for this event. I am also thankful to all
the participants for being here with us to create an environment of knowledge
sharing and learning. We the scholars of this world belong to the elite educated
class of this society and we owe a lot to return back to this society. Let’s break all
the discriminating barriers and get free from all minor affiliations. Let’s contribute
even a little or single step for betterment of society and welfare of humanity to
bring prosperity, peace and harmony in this world. Stay blessed.
Thank you.

Recreating Strategic Management through New
Change Management Lens
Prof. Dr. Bob Barrett*
Abstract Traditional strategists have focused on immediate problems and may have
missed out on future effects of such an approach, as well as the impact of later
changes in the process of conducting business. Consequently, there have been
movements to approach the change management process as another way of handling
current strategic managerial moves, but with limited success. In a historical context,
the re-engineering and Total Quality Management (TQM) movements were limited
by the lack of “buy in” from upper management. However, we have to reflect on
how business and management courses are presented and assessed by today’s
educational institutions. For example, Peter Drucker, known as a “management
guru” actually only worked as a dean in a university, but was respected by
management as the source. On the other hand, Jack Welch, former CEO, later
ventured out with several educational institutions to open his own institute for
studies. Thus, we have two examples of a following by leaders in different
industries pursuing to educate others in different industries -- but has American
business learned? This leads us to the key question as to whether current strategic
management methods work or do they need to be recreated or modified? If this the
chance, can the current change management processes really help or hinder
progressive movement in order to help all types of business - domestically or
globally to achieve their needed organizational goals, as well as perhaps venture
beyond their own “comfort zone” The purpose of this paper will to introduce a new
change management lens for business and management leaders to try a different
approach in their strategic management pursuits and to reexamine if they are
meeting their current needs and be prepared for future impacts for internal and
external factors.

Challenges of Trade Services by Banks: Bangladesh
Perspective
Shah Md Ahsan Habib*
Abstract The paper attempts to examine the challenges of trade services by banks
with special reference to Bangladesh. Trade facilitation by banks in Bangladesh is
particularly crucial when involvement of banks is significant in the country’s trade
facilitation. The paper concludes that trade based money laundering and compliance
risks are required to be addressed for effective trade services in the country.

Impact of Audit Committee Membership Gender
Diversity on Quality of Financial Reporting of Deposit
Money Banks in Nigeria
Dauda Ibrahim Adagye* Abstract This research ascertained the impact of audit committee membership
Gender Diversity on financial reporting quality of quoted deposit money banks in
Nigeria. It is an ex-post facto research by design. The population of the study is all
the Fifteen (15) quoted deposit money banks on the Nigerian Stock Exchange as at
31st December, 2016 which was narrowed down through a judgmental sampling
technique to ten (10). The sampling technique is based on the following criteria: (i)
that a bank must be in operation during the period covered by the study that is 2006
through 2015; (ii) that a bank must not have merged or taken over by another during
the period of the study; and (iii) that a bank must not have been delisted on the
Nigerian Stock Exchange at one time throughout the period of the study. Data
relating to financial reporting quality were sourced from the annual reports and
accounts of the sampled banks. For analysis, the study adopted the Multivariate
Regression Techniques (Fixed and random test regression) to establish that the
independent variables (Gender Diversity) on one hand explains a proportion in the
dependent variable (earning Quality) on the other hand, Pearson correlation
coefficient was used to test hypothesis 1 which examined the relationship between
gender diversity and financial reporting quality. The study finds that actually,
gender diversity does not relate to financial reporting quality of Banks in Nigeria.
it is therefore recommended that regulatory authorities organize training and
seminars for audit committee members as being practice in other developed
countries and lastly, to further assist regulatory authorities, the academics should
step up researches in the area in order to document more on the dynamics in audit
committee membership in banking and other sectors of the economy.

Empirical Evaluation of Average Percentage of rate of
Fault Detection of Software GA-based Regression
Test Case Prioritization Strategy
Dr. Attila Hertelendy*
Abstract Our initial research attempts to answer the role that mentoring and
transformational leadership play in enhancing crisis response efficacy in emergency
leaders, and will extend the analysis to how participation in mentoring and the
source of mentoring influence the relationship between receipt of transformational
leadership behaviors and the demonstration of crisis response efficacy of a crisis
team leader. First, this presentation will investigate how transformational leadership
and mentoring separately influence crisis response efficacy. From this, an
investigation into how experience with mentoring and source of mentoring
moderates the relationship between transformational leadership and crisis response
efficacy will be discussed to further awareness of the antecedents of improved crisis
response of crisis team leaders.

Cementitious Composites Reinforced with Multiwalled
Carbon Nano Tubes Dispersed in Gum Arabic
Muhammad Tausif Arshad1*, Dr.Asad Hanif2, Dr.Anwar Khitab3,
Abdullah Iftikhar4
Abstract Carbon nano tubes are the next generation advanced material. They have
5,100 and 60 times higher young’s modulus, tensile strength and strain capacity
respectively. These excellent physical properties make them attractive for
incorporating in cementitious composites. A hindrance associated with use of Cnts
in cementitious composites is their dispersion in matrix. Cnts form bundles or
agglomerates, firmly stick with each other due to the way they are produced. Due
to poor dispersion of cnts it is impossible to achieve desired characteristics. In this
study Gum Arabic was used as surfactant for dispersion of multiwalled carbon nano
tubes in aqueous solution along with sonication. Base on trials 60 seconds sonication
regime was selected.40x40x160 mm mortar prisms were prepared and testes at 3,
7,14 and 28 days. An increase of 10.57 and 20.4% was observed in flexure and
compressive strength respectively. SEM images show many single filaments of
CNTs. Which is indication of good dispersion. Results of this research will be
beneficial for use of MWCNTs in cementitious composites.
