Erasmus Intensive Language Course (EILC) Program To study the language of the host
country in the host country before the beginning of the academic year
4 weeks in August in Szeged or Budapest
Intensive courses: 8 hours per day Learn the language:language and
pratice classes Discover the culture: cultural
classes (politics, arts…) Entertainement
Opening and farewell ceremony (traditional dance and food)

Language Useful to know it : to understand when
people talk, to order in restaurant, buy transportation tickets or buy stamps in the Post office
But difficult language (finnic language) e.g. “Egészégedre”; “Viszontlátásra”
German is more speak than English Hungarian behavior
Hungarian are pessimist, but…

Erasmus students. Help for finding flat, register in faculty and in everyday life Organised trips and excursions : Gyula, Paprikás Krumpli European Club (every Thursday night in Jate Klub). Permit us to
present and discover a country through traditional food, drinks, music, games…

Entertainement in Hungary
Traditional food and drink Wine : Tokaj (Hungary is famous for its
numerous wine-producing regions) 2 kind of liquor: “ Pálinka” (from fruit) or
“Unicum” (bitter based on medical plants) Paprika, salami, fish soup and goulash
(soup composed with meat, potatoes and pastas, seasoned with chili and paprika)
Celebrations National holidays: ceremonies on the15th
of March (revolution of 1848) and on the 23rd of October (revolution of 1956)
Szeged and its festivals: Open Air Theater (summer), Folk dance festival, the Szin (4 days of concerts near the Tisza river), and gastronomic festivals: wine festival, beer festival and the International Tisza Fish Soup Festival
