Every week hundreds of children are diagnosed with cancer. At the time of diagnosis, the children and their families feel overwhelmed with the news.

To expedite recovery, it is important that they be reminded of the love that both God & the community have for them.

Basket of Hope delivers thousands of baskets to over 17 hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses around the country each year.

The baskets contain age appropriate toys, games, crafts, movies, pre-loaded MP3 players and so much more which aids in the patient’s ability to cope by offering a feeling of normalcy.

Along with the baskets given to the children, “Hope Totes” (which contain a Bible, inspirational books, journals, music, etc.) are given to the parents to provide them with encouragement.

In 2013, our 25-person-company hosted a company collection drive and presented Basket of Hope with a check for $225 in support of their annual charity dinner and silent auction in November.

This year we volunteered again to aid in the delivery of baskets to newly diagnosed children and their families at the NICU at SSM Cardinal Glennon.

Intelica employees also volunteered at the Super Baskets of Hope Volunteer & Fundraising Event on Saturday, April 6th.

Most recently, Intelica helped Basket of Hope organize their warehouse. Intelica CRE members sorted the blankets by gender, size of blanket, age appropriateness, etc., and then packed and stored each blanket type to ease the basket preparation process.

At Intelica, we have formed a passionate relationship and strong bond with Basket of Hope and their mission. We will continue to serve by volunteering both our time and money to aid in their great cause.
