2013 Super Service Challenge!

Hoping for TomorrowBasket of Hope

• Thursday, July 24th, 2013 we packed tote bags full of hope for families in the New Jersey area that are dealing with cancer and other serious illnesses. We spent the evening with community volunteers at a local Lutheran Church and enjoyed packing and fellowship. The tote bags contain items that encourage the families when they are hit with the devastating news of an illness to a loved one, especially their young child.

We packed over a hundred totes that were delivered this fall and will be delivered before Christmas as well.

We plan to continue to support Basket of Hope in all future packing events. We love that it gives the opportunity for the community to give back and spend time together learning about the needs of the community. We also plan to help deliver these totes this Christmas and continue deliveries throughout the years to come in New Jersey hospitals.

• Basket of Hope – NJ runs strictly on volunteers who are mothers themselves. They know the importance of bringing hope to those who need it most!

• If Basket of Hope – NJ receives prize money they would use it to purchase the items that fill the hope totes.

• These items are journals, encouraging books, and games and crafts to help pass the time in the hospital.
