Chapter 1: Introduction

OverviewIntegrated Management Site Administration service packs are cumulative. Integrated ManagementSite Administration Release 6.0 Service Pack 14 (SP 14) includes modifications andenhancements specific to this service pack and the earlier service packs, if any. This releasenotes document contains the following:

• Known issues in Site Administration 6.0 SP 14, see Known issues in Site Administration 6.0SP 14 on page 9.

• Fixes delivered in Site Administration 6.0 SP 14, see Fixes delivered in Site Administration6.0 SP 14 on page 9.

For more information about the installation steps for Site Administration 6.0 SP 14, see Installingthe update on page 5.

Installing the updateProcedure

1. Verify that Admin Tools Release 6.0.07 is installed on your computer.

2. Log in as administrator on the Windows computer on which the product resides.

3. Close all applications that includes Site Administration and Avaya Voice AnnouncementManager.

4. Right-click Site_Administration_6_00_007_sp14_03.exe, and click Run asadministrator.

5. Follow the instructions on each screen.

Setting compatibility mode for Site AdministrationProcedure

1. Stop the Site Administration application.

2. Go to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\Site Administration\bin directory.

3. Right-click ASA.exe Properties.

4. On the Compatibility tab, in the Compatibility mode section, do the following:

a. Select the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box.

b. From the drop-down list, select Windows 8 (or later).

5. To save the changes, click OK.

6. Start the Site Administration application.

Installing CopSSH for Windows 8 and Windows 10Procedure

1. Verify that Admin Tools Release 6.0.07 is installed on your computer.

2. Log in as administrator on the Windows computer on which the product resides.

3. Close all applications that includes Site Administration and Avaya Voice AnnouncementManager.

4. Right-click Site_Administration_6_00_007_sp14_03.exe, and click Run asadministrator.

5. On the Begin screen, select the Install COPSSH check box.

Setting the SCP user configuration for Windows 10About this taskYou can add or edit the SCP user configuration for Windows 10.

Procedure1. From the Start menu, click All apps > Avaya > SCP User configuration.

2. Right-click Open file location.

The explorer opens the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Avaya\Tools location.

3. Right-click SCP User configuration and click Properties.

4. In the Properties dialog box, on the Security tab, click Advanced, and then click<owner> > Apply > OK.

To get the owner, you can enter the name and click check name.

5. Right-click SCP User configuration, and click Run as administrator.

Uninstalling the updateProcedure

1. Do one of the following:

• For Windows 10, click Settings > System > Apps & features.

• For other Windows OS versions, in Control Panel, click Add/Remove Programs.

2. Click Avaya Integrated Management Administration Tools 6.0 SP 14.

3. Click Uninstall.4. Follow the instructions on each screen.

Avaya Site Administration features in Avaya Aura® 7.0Avaya Site Administration is a management application that is at the end of its life cycle and isbeing replaced by System Manager. A large percentage of the functionality available in Avaya SiteAdministration is now available in System Manager. Avaya will address the remaining customer-defined significant gaps in a future release of System Manager. Avaya will then issue an End ofSale (EoS) for Avaya Site Administration 6.0.Avaya Site Administration 6.0 was first introduced in June 2010, and has been maintained usingService Packs since the initial 6.0 release. For details on the changes Avaya Site Administration

Product compatibility



Service Pack, see the appropriate Service Pack in this Avaya Site Administration release notes.Until Avaya Site Administration 6.0 SP 11, the Avaya Site Administration application has not beenmaintained to support new features added to Communication Manager 7.0. Avaya SiteAdministration 6.0 SP 12 supports Communication Manager 7.0. However, any newCommunication Manager features introduced in Avaya Aura® 7.0 will need to be administeredthrough System Manager or the Communication Manager cut-through interface available inSystem Manager. Avaya Site Administration provides both Emulation and GEDI that can be usedfor direct Communication Manager access.The following is a list of Communication Manager 7.0 features added in System Manager 7.0 andnot concurrent in Avaya Site Administration 6.0 SP 12. Many of the features are SIP-related andSystem Manager would be part of those solutions. Use System Manager to configure the newfeatures on Communication Manager 7.0.

• Triple Ring Pattern for Call Pickup Button new ring pattern option.• Support for the Avaya Aura® Media Server and associated announcements.• Support for the Communication Manager 6.3.100 (Discovery, Inventory, Software

Management (upgrades/patching), new MIBS).• Service Observing from SIP Phone Support new endpoint button.• VOA Repeat / Interrupt for SIP CC Phone Support new endpoint button.• Add / Remove Agent Skill from SIP Phone Support new endpoint button.• SO-Coaching (non- SIP) Support new endpoint button.• SPI Link Enhancements, a new attribute field on Agent Login.• SIP Station Reachability, a field on the SIP Endpoint object.• Prevent 96x1SIPCC from having MDA.

Also, Avaya Aura® 7.0 that includes Avaya Site Administration 6.0 SP12:• Support for Modular Messaging 5.2 will stop as the Modular Messaging application has

reached End of Support phase of its life cycle.• Support for Communication Manager Messaging 7.0 will stop, as Communication Manager

Messaging 7.0 has been converted to an VMware-based OVA that runs Avaya Aura®

Appliance Virtualization Platform 7.0 and a customer-provided Virtualization Environment(VE). Avaya Site Administration 6.0 SP 12 or earlier testing is done to support theseenvironments from Avaya Site Administration 6.0 and no enhancements are planned tosupport Communication Manager Messaging 7.0. Basic User Management (mailboxesassigned to users) for Communication Manager Messaging 7.0 is supported from SystemManager 7.0.

• Avaya Site Administration 6.0 SP 11 supports Avaya Aura® Messaging 6.2 and earlier.

While exporting Subscribers forModular Messaging system, SiteAdministration displays"Administrative LimitsExceeded"

To solve this problem, user canchange the connection timeoutvalue. To Change the connectiontimeout value do the following:

1. Go to the System | Propertiesmenu and select theConnections tab.

2. Select the connection andclick on the Propertiesbutton.

3. On the Advanced tab,change Timeout (ms) valueto a smaller value forexample, 30000.




Multilingual Name wizard did notdisplay the native name properlyif the extension containedpunctuation marks.

A fix allows the display of nativename properly even if theextension contains punctuationmarks.

There was no support for AvayaAura Messaging 6.1 - SimplexMidsize Enterprise Templaterunning on S8800.
