OVERVIEWToqualifyforPADIInstructorDevelopmentCourse,you'llneedto:

• Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or leadership level with another recreational divertrainingorganization.

• Beatleast18yearsold.• Havebeencertifiedasadiverforatleast6months.• Be in goodphysical condition fordiving and submit amedical exam form signedby a

physician.• Have completed and logged at least 100 open water dives with experience in night,

deepandnavigation.

ThePADIInstructorDevelopmentCourseprogramconsistsof:

• FormaltraininginconductingPADIprogramsandexperienceprograms.• Independentstudyassignments.• Practicalapplicationsessions.• Writtenexamination.

Instructor Development Course (IDC) includes Assistant Instructor Course, OpenWater ScubaInstructorandEFR(CPRandFirstAid)Instructor.

This program will build upon your abilities to organize and supervise dive activities, whileconcentratingondevelopingteachingskills.Throughindependentstudy,classroomsessionsandpracticalapplication,candidateslearntoconstructeffectiveteachingpresentationsandconductPADI programs. To help you through the program, PADI has developed an array of learningtools.

DuringtheIDCyouwillusethelatestteachingtechniques,thecompletesystemofPADIsupportmaterials,andwillbecontinuouslyassessedonyourteachingandpresentationskills.Youwillberequired togiveadditional teachingpresentationsbeyond thatof theusual IDCProgram.Thisgives you an added advantage not only during the final Instructor Examination (IE), but alsopreparesyouforafuturecareerasadivingprofessional.UponsuccessfulcompletionyouwillbeawardedanIDCcompletionform,whichisyourpassporttotheIE.
