-Access
Go to www.farmsmart.net.au and sign in using your username and password.
Hover the mouse over “FarmSmart” and click “Go To FarmSmart”
Hover the mouse over “Enviromap” and click “Enviromap Introduction”
Scroll to the bottom and click on the link in red this will take you to your farm map

-Creating Paddocks
To create paddock boundaries, scroll over “Area Features”, “Production Areas” and select “Paddocks”.
Then click on “Draw” so it is highlighted
Click on the map to represent the paddock corners and double click to finish it, it will then turn orange
and enviromap will notify you a new paddock has been created
A handy tool when creating paddocks along side each other that share the same fenceline is the
“snapping” function. This is located on the toolbar above the map. When switched on it allows the user
to use the same points from previously drawn paddocks, much easier than free hand drawing.
To edit paddocks you can use either the delete function to completely remove the paddock or the
modify function which allows you to reshape or adjust fencelines.
Once you’re happy with the paddocks, double click on the paddock under “Paddock Details” on the left
to edit names

-Creating Extra Features
Enviromap also gives you to ability to add in an array of extra farm features. These can be found under
“Farm Points”, “Line Layers”, “Hazards”, and “Area Features” in the toolbar about the map.
As with the paddocks, make sure “Draw” is selected. Points will only need to be clicked once while line
or area features will need to be double clicked on their last point. You can turn these points on or off
under “Map Layers” on the left hand side list and selecting/unselecting the certain overlays

-Extra Tools
Enviromap also has these two tools to allow you to measure areas or distances, you use these the same
as drawing paddocks or line features, double clicking the last point. The area/line will come up grey and
give the measure down the bottom right corner.
Finally there is the printing ability. Click on the printer icon up the top left corner. You then get the
option to turn layers on/off depending on what you want the map to include. For example you may just
wish to have the paddock layout with names and sizes without the aerial photo below, or for a
contractor you may wish to include all hazards and laneways as well.
