How to Make Day of Week Reminder for Dementia Patient I use an Expo Vis-a-Vis Wet erase fine or medium pen to write on the plastic. This type of pen is water soluble - erases with water on a piece of paper wiped across the plastic. Unlike a dry erase board, what you put on the paper before you laminate it of course is permanent (until you make a new paper) and the Vis- a-Vis pen writing on top the the laminate/plastic cover won't rub off unless you have water. Making it ideal leaving notes but still not permanent. Instruction on How to Make: I used word processing software on my computer but you could hand make the sheets. I have access to a paper size laminating machine but you could also put the paper into a smooth plastic binder sheet or cover. What is on the paper, stays, it's what is written on top on the laminate/plastic that wipes off each time you want to change the date/month/year or notes. 8-1/2 x 11 paper, landscape view so you have wider side across top I printed the following blocks on the paper in order of how they appear: TODAY IS: DAY of WEEK [with a big space to hand write the name of the weekday] MONTH [with a big space to hand write the abbreviated Month] DAY [with a big space to hand write the DAY DATE] YEAR [with a big space to hand write the Year] I save the file. Print it. Laminate it or cover with smooth plastic. Then write on the laminate/plastic in the spaces allowed using a water soluble Expo Vis-a-Vis Wet Erase pen. See next page for sheet used.

How to Make Day of Week Reminder for Dementia Patient

I use an Expo Vis-a-Vis Wet erase fine or medium pen to write on the plastic. This type of pen is water soluble - erases with water on a piece of paper wiped

across the plastic. Unlike a dry erase board, what you put on the paper before you laminate it of course is permanent (until you make a new paper) and the Vis-

a-Vis pen writing on top the the laminate/plastic cover won't rub off unless you have water. Making it ideal leaving notes but still not permanent.

Instruction on How to Make:

I used word processing software on my computer but you could hand make the sheets. I have access to a paper size laminating machine but you could also put

the paper into a smooth plastic binder sheet or cover. What is on the paper, stays, it's what is written on top on the laminate/plastic that wipes off each time

you want to change the date/month/year or notes.

8-1/2 x 11 paper, landscape view so you have wider side across top

I printed the following blocks on the paper in order of how they appear:

TODAY IS:

DAY of WEEK [with a big space to hand write the name of the weekday]

MONTH [with a big space to hand write the abbreviated Month]

DAY [with a big space to hand write the DAY DATE]

YEAR [with a big space to hand write the Year]

I save the file. Print it. Laminate it or cover with smooth plastic.

Then write on the laminate/plastic in the spaces allowed using a water soluble Expo Vis-a-Vis Wet Erase pen.

See next page for sheet used.
