Accessing and Configuring the Scanning Functionality When you first sign in to the App you will see the following screen:

Click on “QR Scanner”, where upon you will see this screen:

You should see the event name (in this case “The 4th International Hong Kong Beach Water Polo Tournament”) and the entitlements you are able to scan (in this case, only one called “Entry”) as in the screen shot above.

If you don’t see anything here, or if the details are incorrect, click on “Config”, whereupon you will see this screen:

If the event is not correct, click on the arrow next to the event name. This will show a list of all events for which the logged in user account can redeem where you can select the correct event. Make sure you have “Redeem” selected. If you are unable to connect to the server in which case, please check your device’s connection or tap ‘Resync Tickets’. If this is not the problem, please contact our technical support line on +852 2581 4099. Then click on “Apply Changes” and you will go back to the previous screen.

Scanning Tickets Click on the "Scan" button on the main screen. That will launch the screen shown below. Simply scan the QR code using the device’s camera.

The first time you scan a code, you will be presented with a screen asking you which entitlement you want to redeem (in this example, there is only one, “Entry”). Select the desired entitlement. You may also click on the box at the bottom to remember that entitlement so you don’t have to select it each time if scanning only one entitlement repetitively.

When you click on “Done” (or when you scan further tickets), you should see a large green tick mark appear. This means the ticket is valid and the entitlement has now been redeemed. It cannot be redeemed again.

If the ticket is not valid, or has already been used, you will get an error message. In the example below, it’s because the ticket scanned is not for this event:

If you have any disputes over a ticket, you may go back to the “Config” screen and select “List” instead of “Redeem”. Then rescan the ticket and you will a list of all system events related to that ticket. From this you will be able to see if it has been cancelled, or previously scanned, and when that happened.

General Tips

•   Android devices typically respond quicker due to their cameras typically focusing faster than Apple’s (this is device dependent, however).

•   If having trouble scanning the QR code using an iOS device, pull the handset back away from the ticket, this helps the iPhone/iPod camera to focus

•   Wifi is quicker than 3G at communicating with the server, if possible use a Wifi connection rather than your phone’s 3G.

•   There is a torch which may help, but is counterproductive if trying to scan

a QA code from another device (many customers download the tickets to their phone and do not bring a paper version).

•   Should you encounter any problems and require assistance, please call

our technical support line on +852 2581 4099.
