  • 3. Connecting to Internet through Wi-Fi

Note: The label may vary according to local settings or requirements.

    1. Your device is already pre-set for wireless operation. You can find the network name (e.g. SSID: UPC495317) and the pre-set password (e.g. Password: OMPIYZDY) on a label on the bottom side of the modem.

    2. Open network settings on your PC:

If you want to reach the maximum speed according to the ordered service, you need to connect to the network using an Ethernet cable. Wi-Fi technology has its limits. But for example, when you use a package with a 100 Mbps connection speed and you are connected at the speed of only 20 Mbps over the Wi-Fi network, there may be a wireless transmission error between the modem and your mobile device. See troubleshooting tips at www.upc.cz/wifi.
