About the Project:
Installation of a secondary structural steelframe into Colt Data Centre, Acton.
This project saw the installation of secondary steel frames into a live Data Centre to provide additional support to battery back up rooms located over live mechanical plant rooms.
The works required a clinical approach to the sensitive nature of the structure and emphasis on dust and vibration management was of extreme importance.
Using our experience of Asbestos Removal, we carried out a very successful installation that was both timely and safe.
Project Challenges:
This Data Centre was a live facility and required all works to be carried out without dust or vibration.
Works were also carried out around live mechanical and HV power supplies with absolute emphasis on operatives understanding of status, location andnature of existing services.
Deconstruct also had to thread this installation into a busy structural frame within the live plant room.
