4. Select the Application, enter the User Id, Password and click the Login button to login to the application.

5. Are you seeing this screen when you refresh the login page url of the application in the browser running on the webserver?

The reason for this error is that the user ASPNET is not part of the Administrators user group in the web server.

The ASPNET is a user account added by the .Net framework installation and it is under this account that all IIS operations are executed by a .Net web application.

The Setup automates the addition of this user account to the Administrators group.

In case Setup has failed to do this or if this has been accidentally unmapped outside of the application click here to know how to add the ASPNET user account to the Administrators group and restoring the application to a working state.

Once the settings are corrected start with step 1 till you are able to successfully able to launch the login page as shown in step 3

Uninstallation

The Price Administration Module can be uninstalled from either the Add/ Remove Programs or by using the Uninstall.exe from the Install CD’s root folder. The crucial difference is that the uninstallation done through Add /Remove programs will uninstall all the application types (CPI and ICP) without giving a choice while the Uninstall.exe would give a choice of which application type to uninstall out of the available installations on that web server.

Scope of Uninstallation

The scope of the Uninstallation is to perform the following tasks

a) Uninstallation of the proprietary build files and the application database of the ICP/CPI Price Administration Module

b) Removing the registry entries pertaining to the scope of the selected application viz. ICP and/or CPI.

The scope of the Uninstallation is very clearly NOT to perform any of the following tasks.

a) Detecting the presence and uninstallation of the following third party software.

a. Microsoft Dot Net runtime frameworkb. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (PACT instance)c. Microsoft Internet Web Controlsd. SQLXML utility.

b) Detecting the presence of the mapping of ASPNET user account to the Administrators user group and removing the mapping.

Disclaimer

The justification for the scope exclusion of the Uninstallation of third-party-software packages is that these could be shared by other applications running on the target machine and hence automatically becomes out of scope for the uninstallation of the Price Administration Module (CPI and/or ICP). The packaging scope can only be restricted to detecting their absence and installing them. (as documented in the section Scope of Installation ).

For the same reason the end-user organization should also refrain from removing these third-party software directly from the Add/Remove Programs.

The Price Administration Module installation (CPI & ICP) critically depends on the above third party software for its normal functioning and hence requires a complete re-installation if the above caveat is not strictly adhered to.
