INGENICO/NEXTERNAL TERMINAL INSTALL GUIDE V1.0

Nexternal e-commerce now supports card present integrated processing with EMV chip

enabled cards through the Ingenico ICMP Terminal device. This document provides step by

step instructions on connecting your iPad via Bluetooth to the ICMP device and how to

configure the POS software to work with the ICMP Card Reader

Requirements:

• iPad updated with the latest version of iOS (iOS Version 10 or above)

• Ingenico ICMP Device and Charging Cable

• Nexternal Credentials to access the software

Step 1: Charge the ICMP Unit

Connect one end of the supplied micro usb charging cable into the right side of the unit

Plug the other end in the wall socket and allow to charge for at least three hours

Step 2 : Pairing the Reader with your iPAD

Open the iPads Settings App, tap ‘Bluetooth’, and switch it on. If its already on then skip to Step 3


Step 3. Press the button above the micro USB port to turn the reader on.

Step 4. When BT Pairing Required” Appears on the screen, press the F1 button

Step 5. Press the F2 (down) or the F3 (up) keys to select your iPad

Step 6. Press the GREEN button to find your BT Pairing Pin


Enter the PIN from the reader into the popup window on the iPad and press “DONE”

(You have one minute to pair the reader and iPad before the PIN expires)

When the device successfully pairs, you will see it under “MY DEVICES”


Download TrueCommerce Engage App from the App Store

Please ensure you have your Account Name and 9 digit Activation Code along with your

Bridgepay Credentials before proceeding as you will need those to complete the

installation process.

Download the TrueCommerce Engage App from the App Store by searching for “TrueCommerce Engage”

Enter the Account Name you were given by your POS provider


Enter your 9 digit activation code your POS provider gave to you.

Once it is activated click the menu icon button

in the upper left corner

Enter the Bridgepay Credentials as shown below

Click BridgePay, Fill in Account Name, Password, Merchant Code and

Merchant Auth Code and press

“SAVE” when completed


You are now ready to accept EMV Chip Cards using Nexternal Engage POS

Quick Reference Tips for ICMP Card Reader

• Turning OFF Card Reader – Hold down YELLOW and HASH keys (pound

sign) key together for 1 to 2 seconds

• Turning ON Card Reader – Hold down button on right side of unit for 1 to 2 seconds

How to unpair the ICMP reader from your iPad before pairing it with a different device.

1. Open the iPad’s Settings app and tap 'Bluetooth'.

2. Under DEVICES, tap the circled 'i” icon next to the device labeled 'iCM...”

3. Tap 'Forget This Device’ then 'OK' on the confirmation screen.

4. Press the reader’s black F key FOUR times in quick succession.

BT Pairing Required appears on the screen. If you don’t see this, repeat step 4.

You are now free to pair the reader to this or another iPad.
