Inspirational opportunities for everyone

The Aerozone is East Midlands Airport’s on-site education centre, offering a range of exciting opportunities for school, college and community groups of varying sizes and ages.

The Aerozone offers a classroom environment, fully equipped with laptops and interactive whiteboard, as well as two additional break-out rooms.

Within the Aerozone is also East Minilands, an exciting mini airport which is perfect for role play activities.

The centre has disabled access and full toilet facilities.

What is the aerozone?

The Aerozone can be used for a diverse range of activities and can be adapted to suit your teaching needs. What’s more, it is completely free of charge.

From Primary Schools through to College classes, there are opportunities for students to immerse themselves in the airport experience and find out what happens behind the scenes.

Secondary and College fact finding tasks

Interactive games

GCSE and A Level retail challenge

Talks by East Midlands Airport colleagues (depending on operational responsibilities)

Online GCSE engineering, design and maths challenges.

Alternatively we can work with teachers to create a visit that suits your needs and requirements.

The space offered in East Minilands is ideal for role play and creative learning. The space replicates the key areas of the airport and includes a check-in desk, security area, café, shop and plane, complete with eight aeroplane seats.

The Aerozone is a great venue to hold a meeting, discussion group or get together away from your normal surroundings.

All groups are welcome, and a small room hire fee is charged.
