    Check that all the modules in the EI Card files of bothsystems are properly inserted & are in correct state andall normal indications on modules are available

    Physically check and ensure that wiring,fuses etc are inorder and cable entry holes are properly plugged toavoid lizards,rats etc in all panels and modules of thesystem..

    Ensure that the total EI system is clean and itspheripherals are cleaned with blower and brush so that

    they are free of dust and dirt

    Check that all input supplies 110V DC, 24V DC, 12V DC&5V DC are available in proper limits .Also check thatAC 230V supply for Optg PC & Maint PC from Inverter isavailable in proper limit

    Ensure that both the EI systems are in good workingcondition and ensure that the change over arrangementsystem is also functioning

    Take Event and Error log report for the system in theMaintenance VDU

    a)Ensure the rigid connectivity of ring earth to the EIsystem & the earth value is less than 1ohm.

    b)Observe the SPD of all input and out put connectionsfor any burning or damage

    PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECK LIST FOR IPS

    c)Check that with the SMPS Modules switched on , all the DC Load should work on it

    e) Check with SMPS modules switch OFF, all load should work on battery.

    f) Take the measurements of Input AC Voltage/Current & Out put DC Voltage/Current

    g) Check that all the cooling fans are in working order.

    a) Observe that all normal indications are available on all modules

    b)Check the auto change over in IPS

    c)Check the lightening and surge protection devices in the panel

    e) Check the input voltage to CVT on display unit and ensure that CVT is in working order

    Measurementsof Battery

    a)Switch off the SMPS Modules and after 4Hrs take the voltage reading of cells( The Individualcell voltage should not fall below 1.9V and specific gravity should not be less than 1200 )

    b)Then switch on the SMPS Modules and see that all modules are on and all are equally sharingthe load .i.e, their voltage and current should be same

    Checking of

    Earthconnection

    a)Ensure the rigid connectivity of earth to the all modules of all the panels of the IPS system &earthing of the armour of power cables

    VisualInspection and

    cleaning

    a)Check that all the modules in the SMPS ,ACDP & DCDP Panels are properly inserted & are incorrect state and all normal indications on modules are available

    b)Physically check and ensure that wiring,fuses etc are in order and cable entry holes are properlyplugged to avoid lizards,rats etc in all panels and modules of the system..

    c)Check the Cleanliness of the total IPS system and its pheripherals and ensure that they arefree of dust and dirt

    Checking thefunctioning ofDSCA Module

    Check one by one all functions by operating the buttons on key board on the DSCA Module andensure that all are functioning properly& proper indications are displayed on the LCD Screen andensure that all voltage limits are adjusted properly.

    d)Check the voltage of each module & keep voltage setting for float and boost to same valuewithin 0.1V

    AC DistrtibutionPanel

    d) Check the input voltage to Inverter display unit and ensure that both the inverters are inworking order.

    f) Conduct the automatic load transfer test by switching off the inverters one by one and ensurethat the load is transferring to CVT when both the inverters are switched off.

    b)Physically check and ensure that the panel surfaceand the interior is clean and wiring inside panel is inorder .Cable entry holes are properly plugged to avoidlizards,rats etc into the panel and all dominos with theircomponents are in proper position

    Ensure that proper sealing and locking arrangement ofthe panel and the emergency operation buttons

    Check that all the indications in the panel are in correctcorrespondence with the panel operations and trainoperations at the station.

    Conduct all emergency opeartions like emergency routerelease , signal cancellation ,emergency point operation ,calling on signal operation etc on the panel and checkthe counter readings and tally them with the numberrecorded in the register.

    Check the change over between PC &Panel and ensurethat all operations are possible from both PC and Panel

    c)Confirm from the person at the CMU that all the current data fromthe datalogger is correctly transmitted to the CMU through net work.
