WET METHOD

MATERIALSMi-Glow® products offer fluorescent and nonfluorescent magnetic particles for use in wet method inspection. These materials include unique application materials such as underwater inspection media, convenient packaging such as the new Magpacs™ products, and a full line of supporting materials such as white contrast paint, corrosion inhibitors and advanced wetting agents.

Use Mi-Glow® WCP for maximum contrast. [See page 11 for part number.]


Products for UV Light Inspection (Fluorescent)

The Mi-Glow® products for UV light inspection consist of yellow-green fluorescent particles. This line of products uniquely offers two particle types. Particles from the 800 series are smaller to detect very fine discontinuities, while particles from the 900 series are slightly larger to detect medium sized discontinuities. We offer products made from the 800 series, the 900 series, and a blend of both particles. Our products for water-based systems are blended with water conditioning agents for excellent wettability, corrosion protection, and low foaming properties.

Magpacs™ are premixed wetting agent and particles measured and sealed in water dissolvable PVA bags. Support Materials for Use with Mi-Glow® ProductsCircle Systems offers a complete line of products that can be used in conjunction with our Mi-Glow® products to optimize performance.

CircleSol M™ – A high flashpoint, refined petroleum distillate specifically designed to use as the carrier in oil-based systems. This product meets or exceeds AMS 3161, AMS 2641A, and all other applicable industry specifications. 55 gallon drum – Item #38805 gallon pail – Item #3883

Antifoam 3 – A concentrated, silicone-based defoamer for water-based systems, used to reduce excessive foaming. It should be added sparingly, per manufacturer’s recommendations. 4 X 1 qt. bottle – Item #2950

Corrosion Inhibitor 7 – A concentrated corrosion inhibitor used to supplement a water bath system with additional corrosion protection. It should be added sparingly, per manufacturer’s recommendations. 4 X 1 qt. bottle – Item #3510 55 gallon drum – Item #3515

Cleaner 500 – A mild, alkaline cleaner for use in cleaning out an oil-based or water-based system prior to converting to a water-based system or for maintenance in between baths. This cleaner can be used undiluted or dilute up to 1 gallon cleaner to 25 gallons of water. 1 gallon bottle – Item #3851

Mi-Glow® WCP – A specially formulated, fast drying white contrast paint, used to create a consistent background on the component surface in a visible magnetic particle inspection. When dry, the white contrast paint is resistant to wet method baths used for inspection, but is easily removed with acetone. Mi-Glow® WCP can be used with any of the Mi-Glow® and CircleSafe® visible particle materials.12 X 16 ounce cans – Item #3740

CircleSafe®Mi-Glow®

CircleSafe® is a complete line of magnetic inspection aerosols. Our CircleSafe® products are packaged with a carbon dioxide propellant to reduce the environmental and safety hazards typically associated with butane and propane propellant based aerosols. CircleSafe® aerosols are available in fluorescent yellow-green, nonfluorescent black or dual red particles in either water or oil media.
