Student Activities Little Priest Tribal College (LPTC) offers a wide variety of student activities. We strive to provide opportunities for you to become an active member of our community. There are many activities for you to enjoy and explore, which will improve your college experience and your overall education. We want you to get involved in campus life. Estimated Cost of AttendanceOur tuition and fee schedule varies based on several factors:• Number of credit hours the student is enrolled in• Room & Board Plans Selected• Number and cost of textbooks and materials

required for each course

Tuition: $4,050

Fees: $1,090*

Housing & Meal Plan: $6,990

Total: $12,130

Assumptions: a single student taking 15 credit hours per semester for two semesters with an average of five similar two year institution room and board costs. Estimation does not include books and supplies, transportation, or miscellaneous personal expenses.*Fees are estimated. Actual course fees may vary.

Programs of StudyLPTC issues the following two-year degrees: Associate of Arts (A.A) and Associate of Science (A.S). Generally, the classes taken at LPTC represent the freshmen and soph-omore years of study at a four-year institution. Warrior AthleticsWe are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and compete in Region XI and the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC). Athletics is an exciting part of student life. We offer a great opportunity to compete in intercollegiate sports at the junior college level.The athletic program at LPTC offers competition in 2 intercollegiate sports: men’s basketball and women’s basketball.

Wakaja Learning Lab

Wakaja Learning Lab provides free tutor services and quality resources to meet the needs of students looking for assistance with their coursework. Tutors and peer mentors are available to assist students with writing, math, test review, research, resume writing, and other academic needs. Tutors readily help students improve their study skills, increase their knowledge, feel more confident, and develop their resourcefulness.

Wakaja Learning Lab offers:• Walk-in tutoring• One-on-one appointments • Presentations on a variety of learning issues• Group sessions for midterm and final exams• Open computer lab• Extended hours

Admission Checklist1. Complete our application online at www.littlepriest.edu.

2. Send us your official high school transcript or GED transcript.

3. ACT/SAT/Placement Score. New students will need to submit test scores or schedule a placement test with our Admissions Office.

4. Certification of Indian Blood (CIB), if applicable. Students enrolled in a federally recognized tribe must submit documentation of enrollment.

5. File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). LPTC code is 033233. You can file your FAFSA by going to www.fafsa.ed.gov. You can file FAFSA as early as October 1st each year to ensure maximum access to federal, state, and institutional funds.

6. Declaration of Major. Students seeking a degree must complete a declaration of major.

7. College Transcripts, if applicable. Students who took college courses from an alternate institution shall submit official transcripts. No course transfers will be accepted without receipt of official transcripts. LPTC does not accept faxed transcripts.
