Camp Discovery is a full-day summer camp for children ages 5-12! Led by professionals in education, this program offers a variety of exciting themes designed to foster growth and curiosity. Each week is packed with a thoughtful balance of fun and relaxation through hands-on creative problem-solving. Being part of a Camp Discovery program gives you peace of mind that your child will spend their day becoming innovators for a better world!

COVID-19 Policies and RegulationsInnovation Learning guidance is based on what is currently known about the transmission and severity of coronavirus disease.Grouping • Groups are limited to 10 children. • Children will be kept 6 feet apart. • Close group learning activities that break the 6-foot rule will be avoided. This includes but is not

limited to STEAM, group circles, team building, physical activities, and free play. Materials• Kids cannot share materials or equipment.• All materials and equipment will be disinfected before and after each child uses them with ap-

proved cleaning solutions. • Within childcare licensing guidelines, disposable wipes will be supplied to staff members so that

commonly used surfaces such as keyboards, robots, iPads, desks, and remote controls can be wiped down before use.

Keeping Children and Staff Safe • Parents are not allowed to enter the building and may only pick up and drop off their children at

the door of the cafeteria. Temperatures will be checked daily.• Childcare will be carried out in stable groups (“Stable” means that the same ten or fewer children

are, to the greatest extent possible, in the same group each week). • Children shall not change from one group to another in the same week.

Carnival CreationsJuly 6-10Attention Jr. Imagineers. Theme parks are benefiting from a new era of imagineering! Now it’s your turn. Do you like games and rides? Learn about fundamental physics concepts such as speed, acceleration, friction and energy through a variety of games and hands-on activities. Armed with science, you will build your very own roller coast-er with tight turns and steep slopes! Learn how both engineers and computer coders think. Come create and play with us under the big tent this summer!

Superhero’s Science July 13-17Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive... It’s Superhero Science! Discover the science behind our favorite superheroes. Learn about flight, speed, super-strength and x-ray vision as we test the feasibility of these heroes’ special powers. Play superhero games under the sun and travel to a local attraction. This camp is sure to engage kids of all ages! Avengers unite!

Engineering with Empathy July 20-24Kids who want to make the world a better place, unite! Together, we will empower kids to help other kids through engineering and empathy focused projects. During this week of games and activities, kids will explore empathy and what it means to help others in need. We will collaborate to make activities, games and products that will help others enjoy life!

Coding Around the WorldJuly 27-31Explore computer science through computer-based and unplugged activities. Explore cultures from around the world, build their cities, make their art and code robot adventures. Use conductive materials and Makey-Makey brains to control your computer and learn circuit basics as you design light-up-play-doh sculptures. This is where art and electronics collide! Come travel around the world in 7 days with us!

Renaissance FestivalAugust 3-7Welcome to Sherwood forest! Research, design and build a medieval castle just as ancient engineers did! Utilizing basic drafting and engineering skills, we’ll design, construct and test battering rams, siege towers and make things fly with catapults. Renaissance arts and crafts will become a daily delight as we make a medieval themed market designed to give back to the needy. A variety of medieval themed games will be built and played by all who attend!

Arcade MakersAugust 10-14Calling all inventors! Build, test and modify your very own non-electric pinball toy. We’ll explore gravity, energy, simple machines and the Engineering Design Process - including investigation, planning, creating, improving, and communicating. The video games Angry Birds, Pac-Man, Frogger and others will become real life games you are sure to love! The end of our adventure will include a kid arcade that includes your very own animations, video games and pinball toys. Wow! What a party! Level up with us this summer!

Water-Water EverywhereAugust 17-21The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever. -Cousteau Journey into the unknown depths of the ocean and discover strange creatures. Learn how marine organisms live in zones of light and dark and turn your knowledge into fun design challenges. Join us as we explore the basic elements of design and fabrica-tion by making pirate ships, waterslides, exploration vehicles, seashell necklaces, and more! This summer be part of a curious school of fish, as we play under the sea games that are sure to make a big splash!
