Using our proprietary PMB framework, an organization-specific roadmap can be developed with emphasis on building symbiotic capabilities around processes, organization and technology. The initial stage is to create awareness about the implication of corporate strategy for each division/department by setting up information models. The corporate strategy is percolated to each division/department and balanced with the functional objectives (Exhibit 1 – Upstream Scorecard Example)

The underlying business drivers and critical success factors are identified and mapped to each division’s/department’s processes. A set of performance measures (PM) are evolved for each department to reflect the functional performance required to fulfil corporate objectives. (Exhibit 2 – KPI and Value Drivers Example)

The PMs are prioritized based on the predictive capability, behavioural impact and linkage to strategy. Using the PMs, performance scorecards are developed for the corporate and for each functional department. Finally, these scorecards are supported by dashboards and analytical models that can be developed utilizing the BI systems. The BI-driven capability enables in-depth strategic discussion at senior management level in an automated fashion. The dashboards can give a corporate performance overview at the CEO-level and then give detailed drill-downs for sales, financial, inventory, logistics, manufacturing dashboards (Refer examples below)
