Industrial complex also is the major source of foreign currency. 25 percent of economically active population work at industrial enterprises. Industry is the most dynamically developing branches of Belarusian economy.

Belneftekhim consists of affiliated enterprisesfor crude oil exploration, refinery and

transportation, oil products distribution, chemical and petrochemical production, scientific and

building construction.

Belneftekhim produces over 500 petrochemical and chemical goods: oil products, biofuel, mineral fertilizers, tires, chemical fibers and threads, low-density polyethylene, caprolactam, paintings, glass fibers, polyethylene and polypropylene pipes, detergents etc.

Foreign trade turnover is ccounted for more than US $ 7,6 billion., export-US $ 5.0 billion as well, it means that selling goods outside the Republic of Belarus is amounted to over 66,1% of output.

Enterprises' products of the Ministry of the Republic of Belarus are exported to more than 100 world countries. Among the main economic partners are Russian Federation, the Republic of Kasakhstan, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, China, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania and etc.

AUTOMOBILE CONSTRUCTION


Automobile industry complex includes more than 35 enterprises, the biggest are “BelAZ” and “BelavtoMAZ” holdings.“MAZ” holding releases more than 500 modification of automotive vehicles, truck tractors, lorries with sides, dumping trucks, timber lorries, SUVs, chassis, and trailers and semi-trailers as well. “MAZ” has assembly factories in many countries of the world, supplies more than 50 countries of the world. Production of urban, suburban buses and coaches have been releasing in more than 100 modifications since 1995.

AUTOMOBILE CONSTRUCTION


"BelAZ“ holding is the 3rd in the world's largest manufacturer of mining equipment. The plant releases a wide range of mine dump trucks with carrying capacity from 30 to 450 tons. Dumping truck of “BelAZ” –the best value for money and costs for maintenance.

TRACTOR AND AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY INDUSTRY

The Ministry's enterprises produce more than 500 kinds of agricultural machines and equipment, and also for recycling branches. Agricultural machinery industry complex includes “MTW”, “Gomselmash”, “Lidselmash” and “Bobruiskagromash” holdings.

“MTW” holding conducts foreign trade activity on markets of more than 60 states all over the world. It has assembly factories abroad. The lineup of the plant there are trucks with the capacity from 9 to 350 h.p.During the years, the plant retains a 10 % stake of the world market of wheeled tractors, being in the top 10 the world's largest manufacturers.The market share of “MTW” holding in the Russian Federation and the CIS countries account for more than 80%.

One of the largest manufacturer of the agricultural machinery is “Gomselmash” holding.It produces high-efficiency complexes on the basis of universal tractor for harvesting forage and grain crops and sugar beets; self-propelled combine and forage harvesters, tractor-drawn implements, mowers, seeders, tillage equipment and tractor trailers.

The largest Belarusian enterprise specializing in ferrous metallurgy is OJSC "BSW - management company of "BMC" holding " includes 17 companies in the industry.The field of activity of "BMC" holding " : production of continuously cast and hot rolled billets, rolled shapes, rolled, structural reinforcement for concrete structures, billet, wire rod steel, steel cord, steel wire for various purposes, hot-deformed seamless pipes, steel fibers.Metal products "BMC" came in 107 countries. One of the largest manufacturers of road-building machinery in CIS countries and Europe is "Amkodor“ holding includes 14 companies.The plant annually produces more than 5 thousand units of special machinery high technical level. The range includes more than 100 models and modifications of special machines, which are operated in more than 30 countries. In the production program of the company effective road construction, utilities and snow removal, agricultural, forest, airfield-cleaning equipment, special equipment for the peat industry. They are distinguished by a high technical level, and the production is certified according to international standards ISO 9001-2009 and DIN EN ISO 9001-2008.

ELECTRICAL INDUSTRY

Minsk electrotechnical plant named C. I. Kozlova manufactures electrical equipment for virtually all industries. The main products of the plant are general-purpose power transformers and special-purpose with the capacity up to 1600 kVA and voltages up to 35 kV.The plant's products are successfully used not only in the CIS and Baltic States, but more than 25 foreign countries.

STRAIN-OPTICAL INDUSTRY


Enterprises of strain-optical industry manufactures produce high technology products, including space: this projection technique, supervisory devices, grayscale scanners, desktop and laptop, projectors, overhead projectors, day and night sights, binoculars, machines for processing of parts in the optical industry, a vacuum unit for applying coatings on the optics, ceramics, metal, medical equipment using lasers.
