• September 08: Dissertation N.B. no supervision during August!

If you can’t make a deadline
Late work will NOT BE MARKED.• Extensions (2 weeks etc) are not
possible!• but you can defer your work to next
assessment period
• DON’T ask lecturers! LECTURERS CAN NOT GIVE EXTENSIONS!
Deferrals
• If you have a valid reason you can defer your exam/coursework/dissertation
• Always to the next assessment period (i.e. not 2 days!)
• You must provide evidence (UK doctor certificate, etc)

Deferrals
• Until it is granted: Assume that you do not have a deferral - and therefore will fail if you do not submit!
• A deferred exam/coursework counts as “first attempt” (No penalty!)
but it will prolong your study!
Attendance
• If you are unwell - seek medical advice,hand in doctors note and catch up!
• Low attendance is a breach of visa conditions • If you are not ready for assessment (75%
attendance), you will receive an X grade• YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REDO
