INDIANS’ WEEKLY! IF YOU DON’T KNOW, NOW YOU KNOW! “HEY,YOU, GET OFF OF MY CLOUD” BRAVES WIN 27- “Thanx to the consistent hard work of players like Seth Cloud, Jason Morago, Angel Ramirez, Nicky Delgadillo and George “Ricky Bobby” Daniels, this team is putting it all together for what looks like a great season” says Head Coach Monie Soliz. The “Black” offense started to reveal some bright spots with players like Louis Aguirre and Joe Martinez. RB Angel Ramirez scored twice to give the Indians a nice lead, but after a couple of defensive breakdowns, Hacienda Heights made it interest- ing. FB Nicky Delgadillo scored to put some distance between the two teams, then Rio’s Pizza “Player of the Game” Seth Cloud in his debut as a ball carrier, scored to finish off the Cougars. The Braves are preparing to face the La Puente Warriors on Saturday, October 15th at 11:00. WARRIORS’ WILL TO WIN SECOND TO NONE, 24-6! For the 4th straight week, the Warriors found themselves trailing again as the Cougars jumped out to 6-0 lead on the 2nd play of the game. However, that would turn out to be the points they would get in the game as the defense dug in and held tough the rest of the game. “The boys have shown resilience these past few weeks as our opponents don’t make it easy. Each week we’ve seen a new offensive formation and had to adjust on the fly. We’ve put ourselves in a position where we are having to come from behind, but our team has responded each time, I’m very proud of them” says Head Coach Steve Rivas. The Warriors scored on their opening drive marching down the field cul- minating with a 30 yard touchdown run by Rio’s Pizza “Player of the Game” RB Noah Rangel. The defense once again found their way into the end zone with Defensive Player of the Game Mike Vital returning an interception 40 yards to pay dirt. “This is something we’ve been working on in practice, if we get a pick, we are trying to make sure everyone is setting up downfield blocks.” Spe- cial teams looked to get into the action by blocking a punt and returning it to the Cougar 10 yard line, but a questionable “offside” call negated the play. After watching the game film, we’ve se- lected Mariano “Puda” Martinez as our offensive and Defensive Player of the Game as he was asked to step into two new roles this week and had to play O & D Line which he had not played all year. Puda did an excellent job, making big tackles on defense and “flat backing” a few Cougars leading the way on our power runs.” Next up, at the Lincoln Heights Tigers, Saturday at 2:00 p.m. CORTEZ & CO. CLOBBER THE COUGARS, 39-6! The Scouts remained unbeaten this week topping the Haceinda Heights Cougars 39-6. Rio’s Pizza “Player of the Game” Alex Cortez had 10 carries for 186 yards and 2 TD’s. Steven Loera added 95 yards on 8 carries also scoring 2 TD’s. Offensive Player of the Game” honors go to QB Paul Garcia playing in his first game of the season, guiding the offense and throwing a TD pass to Anthony Co- bian. “The defense gave up a “fluke” bad bounce fumble that turned into a “scoop & score” which ended a 2 games of shut out football.” says Head Coach Armando Valencia. The Scouts have a huge game coming up against the La Puente Warriors on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. La Puente is also unde- feated and tied with Montebello for the top spot in the Citrus League. INDIANS’ WEEKLY! IF YOU DON’T KNOW, NOW

YOU KNOW! “HEY, YOU, GET OFF OF MY CLOUD” BRAVES WIN 27-“Thanx to the consistent hard work of players like Seth Cloud, Jason Morago, Angel Ramirez, Nicky Delgadillo and George “Ricky Bobby” Daniels, this team is putting it all together for what looks like a great season” says Head Coach Monie Soliz.

ENCISO LEADS INDIANS IN ROUT 32-14!

Rio’s Pizza “Player of the Game” RB Michael Enciso Jr. “has been a force behind this years Junior Midget team and so much more is expected of him as the season continues, he has been responsible for many Indians’ touchdowns as well as outstanding defensive play” says Head Coach Julio Baez. Enciso was the “workhorse” in Saturday’s contest and provided the “Thunder” once again in the Indians’ offense, while “Mama there goes that bad man again” RB Isaac Mendibles provided the “Lightning.” The one/two punch of these young men along with Offensive and Defensive “Players of the Game” Rocky and Mugsy Guerrero were simply too much for the Cougars to handle. “The hard hitting twins have been a huge addition to the team and Coach “Mags” has taken advantage of their size and strength.” Another addition to the team for Secondary Coach Danny Perez is stand-out DB Tommy Sanchez, nicknamed “The Interceptor,” Sanchez has managed to pick off at least one per game which usually result in touchdowns for the Indians. Next, the Indiands travel to Glen-dale on Sunday, October 16th at 3:00 p.m.

“BLACK” BATTLE THE COUGARS, “RO-LO” LEAD!

The Running Bears “Black” team went back to the ground and pound attack against the Hacienda Heights Cougars with combination running from Offensive “Players of the Game” George Rodri-guez and Daniel Lopez. “Defensive “Player of the Game” honors go to Adrian Ortiz who stopped the Cougars’ air attack on many occasions and swatted a pass away in the end zone to prevent a touchdown. Ortiz also pulled four flags and was pivotal against the Cougars’ running game. After the game, the Hacienda Heights coach’s remarked “you guys were the best team we’ve seen all sea-son.” That’ll put a smile on anyone’s face, way to go!

GANG “GREEN” GOBBLES UP THE COUGARS! The Running Bears “Green” team took to the air and took the wind out of the sails of the Hacienda Heights Cougars’ team. Lead by Offensive “Players of the Game” Isaac Mora, Nathan Castro and Alex Santoscoy. Mora had four catches for 2 TD’s bringing his season total to 14. Castro threw four TD passes and Santoscoy chipped in with a TD of his own. Defensive “Players of the Game” go to Marcus Samano who pulled four flags and Vince Torres who could not be blocked all game.
