FIELD VISIT

GOVERNMENT SCHOOL, BELAGUM DIST [IS Karnataka]

Date:29th Oct

Member:Vinod S Murgod District:Belagum

India Sudar member Vinod visited IS support school in Khelegaon, Athni Taluk, Belagum Dist. We have been supporting

this school since last year by providing educational and sports materials. He spoke to the school headmaster

Mr.Basavaraj about India Sudar and its activities including career guidance courses and training to SSLC students. The

head master was interested in the career guidance program and India Sudar hope to conduct one soon.

LIBRARY VISIT [IS Tamil nadu]

Member: Dineshkumar M District :Tirupur

Between April and July 2011 India Sudar member Dineshkumar M visited India Sudar libraries in schools in Tirupur

District. He talked to teachers and students and checked the books and library register. The students have been utilizing

the libraries well and have requested for more books.

TEACHER DEPLOYMENT

LEARNING CENTRE,CHENNAI [IS Tamil nadu]

Members: Dheenadayalan, Balasaraswathi, Baiju District : Thiruvallur

India Sudar deployed a teacher at India Sudar Learning Centre at Madha Kovil Street, Thouppuma nagar,

Kaniyambakkam, Devadhanam post, Ponneri, Thiruvallur dt. The teacher will take Tamil, English and mathematics

classes for students from 1st to 8th standard. 47 students benefit from the project. The fund for this project is provided

by Sify Associates.

ABODE HOME , MADURAI [IS Tamil Nadu]

Date: 21st Oct

Member: Narendran T District :Madurai

Abode Trust was founded in the year 1991 by Shri.Iruthayaraj in Madurai. The Trust initially focused on

rehabilitation and relief works for prisoners in Madurai Jail. The support for the prisoners and their families includes legal

counseling and aid, documentation for bail, motivation and counseling support for family members, employment skill

training for women members in the family, etc. In the year 1998, he started a home for the children of the prisoners

with eight children that have now grown up to 65 children now who are mostly children of prisoners and sex workers,

orphans/semi orphans, run away, street children, etc. The Trust is presently running with the support of local

philanthropists and well-wishers.

All these children are studying in nearby Government and Government aided schools. They are devoid of

necessary materials like note books, pens, uniforms, schoolbags, soaps, mats, pillows etc. Around 10000/- to 15000/-rupees has to be paid as school fee for the children. India Sudar member visited the home and identified all the

requirements in detail and will soon be working on a project to support them.

ERASINAMPALYAM [IS Tamil Nadu]

India Sudar started a Free Computer Training project in Sept 2009 at Panchayath Union Middle school,

Erasinampalayam, Tirupur dt. Recently India Sudar provided two computers and necessary infrastructure to provide

education to school students. Dhyan Infotech, Chennai, sponsored the computers. Indiasudar provided computer tables,

chairs, headphones, LAN switch and connections and optical mouses. India Sudar will maintain the centre permanently

and will take care of the hardware and software updates. 100 students benefit from this training.

SEBLA SCIENCE EXPERIMENTAL BASED LEARNING AND AWARENESS

[IS Tamil Nadu]

India Sudar paid first year fee for Kathiravan R, who is pursuing MBA from Anna University. He completed BBA with

74% and is now doing MBA through distance education.

Total fee paid: Rs.4100/-

SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS DEMO [IS Tamil Nadu]

Date: 22nd and 27th Oct

Members: Dinesh, Kannan District : Karur

India Sudar members conducted a special session on science experiments at Govt Higher Secondary School,

Renganathampettai, Karur. They demonstrated 33 science experiments and explained the theory behind them. 33

students from plus one and 13 high school students attended the demonstration.

TRAINING

SUPPORT TO PARTICIPATE IN SCIENCE TALENT EXAMINATION [IS Tamil Nadu]

As part of Science Experimental Based Learning and Awareness (SEBLA), India Sudar provided financial support to 32

students of Govt Higher Secondary School Renganathampettai, Karur to participate in science talent examination and a

field visit to Mayanur to collect information on Land Fertility. This helps them to participate in a science exhibition to be

conducted by Tamil Nadu Science Forum.

Total project cost: Rs.3400/-

CAREER GUIDANCE [IS Tamil Nadu]

Date: 29th, 30th and 31st Oct

Members: K Balamanikandan, Ramkumar.P, Dinesh.G

India Sudar member K Balamanikandan conducted training on career guidance program in Bangalore. India Sudar

members Ramkumar P and Dinesh G attended the training, and this will enable them to conduct similar classes to

school students. They are planning to visit at least 10 schools next year.
