THYAGAM [IS Tamil nadu]

Date : 4th March India Sudar member Udhaya Kumar V visited IS Learning Centre at Thyagam, Madurai and had discussion with Amudha

Shanthi, Selvam and Learning Centre teachers as part of the monthly teachers meeting.

Date : 20th March

India Sudar has been supporting Manidham Trust, Dindigul. Manidham trust provides value based education to the

students of nearby villages. They run five learning centres at remote villages in Dindigul. Out of the five, three are supported by TCE-Crescendo group, one by Gavs Testing team and one by India Sudar. Thanks to the work done by

India Sudar and other partner organizations, the students' pass percentage have improved in a significant level.

TEACHER DEPLOYMENT

EDUCATION FOR INDIVIDUAL

PURANIYA [IS Madhya Pradesh]

Place : Satna Date : 10th March

As part of special training for exams, eight students from the Vits Engineering College are engaged to help students of

the Village Learning Centre, Puraniya, Satna. These student are from IT, EC, EE, department of Vits College, Satna. They used to come to the Learning Centre on every Sundays and government holidays to take special classes for the

students.

SITAMADHI [IS Bihar]

Date : 19th March

India Sudar opened its first Learning Centre in Bihar at Govt. Primary School, Khari, Sitamadhi Dist. A teacher has also been deployed for taking morning classes on weekdays and half day classes on Saturdays.

Date : 13th March

India Sudar had deployed a motor cycle mechanic teacher at Govt Special Home for Boys, Taluk Office Compound,

Chengalpettu, Kancheepuram. The program is aimed at enabling the students to start their own work shops or work in existing shops after they leave the home. India Sudar now renewed the training program and extended the teacher

contract till Jun-2012.

Project Cost: Rs.36000/-

ERODE [IS Tamil Nadu]

India Sudar has been supporting Kamaleswari K who is studying in Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, Erode. Her seventh semester results have come out and she scored a grade point average of 8.59/10. India Sudar

congratulates Kamaleswari for her hard work and success.

SEBLA

TIRUPUR [IS Tamil Nadu]

Date : 3rd March

As part of SEBLA, sixty science experiments were explained to students of schools in Vellakovil Union, Tirupur. An

exhibition of these experiments was conducted by students of Vellakovil West School, Tirupur. Total 583 people visited

the exhibition.

KARUR [IS Tamil Nadu]

The Students of Panchayath Union Middle School, Panchapatti conducted an exhibition of the science

experiments taught to them as part of SEBLA. Around 310 people participated in the exhibition.
